Seahorses?

I'd love a seahorse tank, but I looked into it on t'internet and read that they must be kept in constantly moving salt water, and tanks start from £1500!!

That was years ago, and since then we've visited several aquaria which keep seahorses, and I'm sure they are in normal tanks..... anyone know anything about keeping them? I adore them.

I looked into getting some seahorses a few years back.

Not cheap to buy the animals.
Not cheap to buy and set up the tank.
The tank has to be set up and maintained perfectly. They're really environment sensitive .... if the conditions in tank go off, you'll have a tank full of dead seahorses before you know whats happening.

Lovely animals, but they take a bit of looking after!

I decided not to bother ....

Thanks Sancheeez - sounds a little too stressful in that case, I think I'll give it a miss - thanks for the info!

A few years, I had a Marine Tank (saltwater, think Finding Nemo)

I remember thinking about getting a seahorse set up too, but they are really hard to look after.
