I actually like the taste of kick better - will drink red bull if kick isnt available. Dont like blue charge or the cranberry version of either it or kick. Dont like cola red bull either.

No, what does it taste like . I've never tried any of these drinks mainly as it never occurred to me that they might work in a positive way on my tiredness. The only product I' ve had was a Boost bar with Guarana <sp ? > which had no effect on me.

Go for a week or so without it and see how the withdrawal affects you. Last year I had to stop drinking tea and coffee for two weeks and after a couple of days I felt fine and then around day 4 I suddenly got really shaky and my moods went bonkers. I did drink 6-9 cups of coffee a day though!

I don't drink any soft drinks so cannot comment on red bull etc. but I was very surprised at how stopping my intake of caffeine made me so completely different. I got over it a few days later and now had a much reduced tea/coffee intake though...

Red Bull tastes like Shite and repeats on me like God knows what.

I absolutely hate the stuff.

Has anyone else had the thick syrupy red bull you get in Asia? That stuff definitely kept me awake and melted my teeth.

It's taurine, the major constituent of bile. Wikipedia moots only possible benefits of taurine, but I've read several papers on it and stopped drinking them afterwards (I'm a pharmacologist).

If you get the inferno one then it tastes a bit like orange Fanta or The Juiced Jungle one tastes like Lilt. The standard one doesn't taste much different from red bull really though.

I try to avoid it, only have it with vodka on a night out to give me a kick. But I often find one can of that will cause the rest of the alcohol to really go to my head which I don't like.

Drink too much coke really- probably a can a day, but trying to replace that with sparkling/flat water.

Yup - have a bottle of it in my fridge....

It amazed me in Thailand to see the extent of the discarded bottles of it in the streets.... It really is like a cough mixture consistency, & does exactly what it says in the tin.Its obviously much more condensed. I did try looking at the ingredients last night when I posted but they are all written in Thai.

Our version is a cheap immitation in all honesty.

I drink at least five cans of diet coke every day, as a hangover from my years of working night shifts. I'd love to get off the stuff but have awful headaches every time I try. Plus I love the taste of it.

Same here. Only ever had one can and it tasted foul and gave me awful indigestion for hours afterwards.

I only drink it with vodka and only then when I'm tipsy already. I wouldn't drink the stuff as a normal drink.

It doesn't have that much effect on me now, except it makes me want gallons of water at ridiculous times of the morning.

Funny that, as i take a load of Taurine on its own daily as a sports supplement and as a sleep aid...

i havent drunk red bull since about 4 years ago when a friend of mine who was 30 and was a slim fit non smoker, had a stroke and ended up in hospital for a month. it had been xmas and she had bought a 24 pack of red bull and consumed them with vodka over a week and a half at home.

when she was in hospital she was interviewed by people who were investigating the affects of red bull and there was a ward full of people all taking part who had strokes after drinking a lot of red bull.

scary stuff and not worth the risk. its banned in a lot of countries

I drink Red Bull regularly. I had Relentless for the first time a few days ago (at 8:30am) and was shaking for hours.

Why would that make her a moron? Just wondering as I've been consuming the same quantity of energy drinks now for about 8 years!
