If you're still interested by the time I get to see them (we're a bit behind the times in New Zealand), I will be happy to share my views - especially since the SJA are the only part of the new-Who stable that I have found to be generally, rather than only occasionally, good. (Perhaps because, as William Hartnell said, children are the harshest critics - unlike adults, they demand good stories and won't take any nonsense.)

As a Forty something male, with a fond memory of Sarah Jane back in the 1970s. I find myself with some trepidation and not a little guilt at tuning into Children's BBC to view SJA...... However, I have found the scripts fun and exciting, some of the stories holding up better than some recent DW episodes. The Clown episodes in particular sent a shiver down this old cynical spine more than once.

Whatever RTD has done with the franchise, and I have enjoyed DW and am a Torchwood fanatic, I will be eternally grateful to him for bringing back to us Sarah Jane, and more importantly two series of great entertainment. I hope for a 3rd....

Yes, that's what I thought. This children's series seems surprisingly adult in places (while the supposedly adult "Torchwood", on the other hand...!)

i think clyde will meet the dr. as i think sja is being used as a proving ground for dr. who. as for sja on the whole very good but do they all have to be 2 parters

I'd love Clyde to be a future assistant. And the two-part format is fine. Many of the stories are actually more enjoyable than certain New Who ones I could mention...

Could have been in a Doctor Who episode called "Mark of the Berserker" oops sorry I meant "Rani"

What a coincidence

I've just seen the "Berserker" two parter

Spoiler
It was a nice surprise seeing Maria and her dad again, i prefer her to Rani who is still trying to hard imo and good to see Clyde's Dad, although i didn't find the character entirely believable and the acting once he was taken over was not great - but it was a good story!

I saw it on BBCi, not sure if part two has been shown on BBC 1 yet so didnt want to spoil the big surprise !

How cool was it seeing a Police Box in part 2 of The Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith?

I loved the Sarah Jane adventures. I like all the characters and even the new girl Rani she seems to really fit well. Her mum is funny.I like how SJ is liked by the families in this one as opposed to Marias mum in the last season. It would be so cool if The Doctor well who ever will play the next Doctor appears briefly in one of the episodes or I dunno maybe have torchwood over for dinner haha.

I am 34 married with 2 kids who love the show and dr who

I like it. That's all I can say. Not too soppy. And good stories.

............”

Only catch them occasionally but is a brilliant series and unlike the main Dr Who programme as less is spent on CGI effects more time spent on acting and the story which makes a better programme in my opinion

For me SJA's the closest to the spirit of the original Dr.Who. "Berserker" apart, an excellent series.

Sarah Jane Adventures has been very much enjoyed by the youngsters in my family circle who, due to the excellent writing of the series, have understood Sarah Jane's place in the continuing story, without prior knowledge that she was in previous series.

I meant that they didn't know (at first) that she was in Doctor Who series previously but understood her role in both DW and SJA because of the good writing of the programme makers.
