It's been confirmed that Britney will perform some time on this years show...but who would you like to see perform on this years show and maybes mentor the contestants for that week?

Personally i would love to see James Morrison perform.

Will Young, obviously! The first and best of the "reality" show singers.

Jordin Sparks! I'd be very jealous of the finalists but would love to see her getting a bit of attnetion, especially as Leona's appeared on AI. I love Jordin's music and personality, and if she was on Xtra Factor I'm sure I'd find an excuse to text in lol!

Can't wait to see Rhyd either as I've heard he's already booked, should be great. Maybe he could mentor on Love week as opposed to Westlife.....Jordin's theme could be Noughties hits?

xxxx

So everybody can see where Louis Walsh gets his ideas from

Steve Brookstein & Michelle McManus doing 'What Have I Done To Deserve This?'

Somebody pushing a dog turd up & down a cheese grater illustrating how bloody tuneless past winners have been

Whitney Houston would be the most awesome artist to have on the show and it would help her with her comeback.

I myself would also really love it if they got Pete Burns with Dead Or Alive on the show but that aint gonna happen. Hes also planning a comeback. I would just like to see artists who really stand out as something different on the show.

Madonna theme week would be good, as would Michael Jackson. I just hope theres no Abba week, it really is hard to watch. I don't mind a disco week but not just Abba please. I've heard Paul McCartney is due on for a Beatles week, as is Elton John and Queen (not together). We'll also have the cast from previous years shows which kinda annoys me.

Wish they would just scrap the whole theme thing. It worked so much better without it. Artists could be themselves.

I like the fact it forces them to try something different. I don't want to see Laura cover a Amy Winehouse song every week or JLS do a mowtown classic. Its nice to see them be challenged. Leona Lewis excelled herself nearly every week no matter the theme, it does show whos got actual talent, rather than being a kareoke cover artist. It is bad news for the groups though, themes will never suit them.

Yeah I agree. It is good how it pushes them. It's just it messes up some fantastic singers. Song choice is the most important thing. If they did get rid of the themes we could possibly see more unique people like a new Kate Bush, Pete Burns, rocker or operatic woman.

Fantastic singers should be able to adapt - not necessarily themselves to the song but the song to themselves. We've seen some very interesting takes on songs in the past on AI and X-Factor.

I agree with that to. Rhydian was a great example of that from last year. His Get The Party Started and Go West performances were as far away from his style as possible but he pulled them off and very well.

Kelly Clarkson would be a good one too. Doesn't she have an album coming out later this year or early next year?

Yes, that's true.
The stars should be the contestants instead.
Glam it up for real!
Then they can have a big star for the Grand Final liie a duet with Leona & Whitney. That would be in Leonas words 'amazing'
