surround set up
I am trying to get a way of getting dolby 5.1 from my telly and dvd but the issue i have is that while I have optical outputs from both dvd player and the Sky HD box I only seem to have 1 optical input in the woofer box. Would one lf these split connectors do the job?
TV is Sony KDL-V40A 12U and the surround sound is Sony DAR-RD100 |

I don't see why not.
The one I'm thinking of works as a splitter/switcher, when using it the box not being used needs to be placed in standby. Have you got a Thomson or Pace box? The optical out on the Thomson box is disabled when the box is in standby, the Pace box has to be switched off from the mains or the cable unplugged as the output is still live even when the box is in standby mode. http://www.astarsolutions.co.uk/prod...1101&r=froogle The other option is a manual 3 way switcher which removes the need to switch off boxes or unplug cables. http://www.astarsolutions.co.uk/prod...1102&r=froogle |

Its a Thomson digibox.
To avoid the switching might be easier to use the 2 way one that way it can be set up to use the sky output most of the time but with occasional forays with DVD |
