Hello foodies.

What do you think is the best soy sauce readily available in supermarkets?

I don't actually mind. I go for which ever is the best price as long as it is the Dark or Rich kind. I think it is Amoy at the moment.

I think Kikkoman tastes far superior to Amoy. It's got such an elegant bottle as well; I'm a sucker for a well packaged product.

FWIW Delia recommends Kikkoman.

Another vote for Kikkoman here, it's brewed naturally without the additives others have. Hope this helps.

Lee Kum Kee premium soya is nice. Golden mountain seasoning soya sauce is the best, I've been using it with almost everything recently.

They say that light soy sauce has more flavour - and that the dark soy is used more for colour.

I've tried them all and I can't say that they taste much different.

Pearl River dark soy sauce. (It's available in some places and from Chinese supermarkets). I love Pearl River soy sauce, the light and the dark.
