Pizza Hut - skimping on the cheese

If you order online you'll get this option of either: Double Cheese, Less Cheese, Standard Cheese or No Cheese.

Has anyone else noticed that unless you specify and pay extra for the Double Cheese option, your pizza generally comes with...no cheese at all?

I've noticed this a couple of times, the pizza just comes with topping and barely enough cheese to be noticeably with the majority of the base not covered at all

Can't comment on the online Pizzahut problem, but I would have thought that with a chain the products would be pretty much the same every time. We get dominos once in a while and they are always pretty standard quality.

On the online ordering issue, I don't like it. I would prefer to talk the order in so you can specify little things, such as make sure you put cheese on it

Agree with Taboo, they're stingy with their toppings. I get better value pizza's from small independant takeaways than the big chains.

I've been hearing stuff like this with other foods, and companies are blaming the credit crunch. Thats probably their excuse if u ask them.

I thought my Pizza Express pizza was less cheesy last week and one time they were really stingy with the olives - this was years ago and not during a recession.

Don't like their bases! Pizza Express is a cut above for me - quality. You can see the chef at work too.

Pizzahut just appears from a back room ????

Haven't been to a Pizza Hut in years now

Was done in Newcastle a few year back, popped into one around 10pm, and although they were open till 11pm they couldn't take us because there wasn't enough staff per customer ratio (or some crap like that!)

Ain't been back since!

We had Pizza Hut delivery a while back and it was rank. Totally tasteless and bland.

Dominos is my perferred home delivery, but Pizza Express is the best!

Well if you get Pizza Hut what do you expect? There are independent stores that will get you a miles better Pizza.

Buy Pizza Express pizzas from the supermarket.

Add your own mozzarella, pepperoni, jalapenos, in fact, anything you fancy.

It's the age old argument, which is better? Pizza Hut or Dominos or Pizza Express?

Any true Pizza fan will tell you not to bother with the tasteless, bland, doughy based, lack of cheese sad excuse for a Pizza that comes from Pizza Hut.

Take Away? Go with Dominos every time.

Sit down meal? Pizza Express.

My pizza hut serves too much cheese! I've always found that all pizza chains are stingy with the toppings though.

I absolutely adore the stuffed crust but the toppings are dodgy. Sometimes the pizza is really salty, other times there's barely any cheese. It's usually pretty good but it can be a bit hit and miss.

Why are Pizza Hut the only ones with a stuffed crust, everyone should have that option.
