Hey Guys, I have a really annoying problem.

As soon as I start up my PC, I get a message from AVG telling me I need to Restart My Computer for the required updates to be installed.

When I do reboot, the same message appears again and it asks me to reboot. so I do it again for a 2nd time.. 3rd time start up and the message pops up again! Really frustrating! and the update manager has disabled the anti virus from working until the update is installed. Im not sure why this is happening.. does anyone know a fix?

This happened to me when I was using AVG7.5 (well last few days, before AVG8 came out) So I assumed it was related to the fact the free AVG8 was out, so I installed that...........apologies if its AVG8 that is causing the problem as mines fine.

I had a similar problem a while ago. No guarantees, but you could try this.

Go to the Update Manager in AVG and then select Update immediately and Require confirmation from user.
