Who were the favourites to win at this stage in previous years?
Just curious- who were the favourites in previous series, just before the live shows?
I'm just wondering if any of the pre-live show favourites actually went on to win the competition. |

If I remember correctly, last year had Rhydian, Niki and Same Difference all favourites to be evicted first. They ended up making the final 4!!!
edit- I just laughed at myself reading my post back. "evicted" think im on the flipping Big Brother forum

IIRC, Tabby and Rowetta were favourites around the start of the live shows. Although I think Steve was among them.
Ben Mills was the early favourite in series 3. |

So it looks like nearly every time, the bookies have been wrong at this stage.
I wonder if the bookies will be wrong with Laura White being favourite (if she gets through from Judge's Houses). She is very good, and I can't think of anyone that could really be a big challenger. |

Don't think it was Rhyd I am sure I read somewhere both Daniel and Andy had good odds, after the first live show pretty sure it was Nikki with Rhydian next.
Niki was a big favourite ti win in the beginning along with Beverly. Daniel was also a fav and Andy a bit. |

Niki was never a fave to win prior to the live shows. She was the second fave to be eliminated, and last fave to win

its impossible to tell at this stage, such as they kept Leona fairly well hidden until the live shows...whereas they showed Rhydian loads and created a 'monster' image for him. I think they'll keep their favorites screen time to a minimum this week, so the audience isn't bored of them in a few weeks time.

Sorry but am almost positive Rhyd didn't become a favourite until about week 3 after week one i'm almost positive it was Nikki maybe one of the Rhyd fans will know this for definate.
It was for sure early on anyhow. Niki however I agree, she was the fav to win. Beverly too but she had a bit on an attitude to some so it decreased fast for her if I remember correctly. |

Especially if you got hooked on someone. For Leon fans I think you agree that he exploded after his disco night when he stepped out of his comfort zone. |

I think the bookies are abit wrong at the moment although it's hard to tell. Based on what we have seen so far, Alexandra and Rachel I would put ahead of her. But Laura is a very marketable woman and seems really likeable. Im sure the odds are all gonna go crazy after the first live show. All we have seen of everyone so far is like 20 seconds of singing. We have no idea how they will come across on tv.
I think that...

Austin Drage is 7/1. I think that's a good bet.
He's got a pretty good voice, good image and fits the bill for the teen vote perfectly. |
