Stir-fry Ideas

My stir-fry's are pretty bog standard and I fancy a bit of a change this evening so am looking for some inspiration!!

I have chicken breast, noodles, peppers, onions, corgettes indoors plus I have soy sauce, honey, chilli powder etc.....

What can I do to shake things up? I can swing by the shop on my way home and pick up some other bits!!

I don't want something dry but do not want anything covered in a heavy sauce either?

i like beef or pork thats been sat in sesame oil, soy, ginger, garlic, egg white and cornflower - it goes tender then stir fried in a little soy and sesame oil with chopped spring onions.

oops, you said something different, sorry ...!

Stir fry chicken, beef or pork with the veg you like.
Mix together 1 tbspn Thai green curry paste (I use Barts), 1tspn sesame oil, 1tbpsn lime juice and 1 tbspn light soy sauce. Add to meat/veg and stir fry until coated. Then add half a packet of coconut cream melted into half pint of hot water. Heat through, add some fresh chopped coriander and serve with rice.

If you have a Chinese shop that sells Thoban Jhan (Chilli Bean Sauce) a teaspoon of this - balanced with a little sugar (to dull the fire a little) and salt (to diffuse the resultant sweeteness) give a kick to any stir fry.

I never used to like Seasame oil but my sister got an authentic looking one (oriental writing on the bottle) and it was 100 times better than the stuff you get in the supermarkets.

Shouxshing rice wine is also a common ingredient but you can use Dry Sherry instead.

I think you always need a bit of 5 spice in there aswell
