In my opinion - my non winning faves are:

Rhydian (XF4) - Superb singer and showman, what more do you want? Incredible contestant. My most favourite Too many sublime performances to list - Phantom, Get The Party Started, Somewhere, Bridge Over Troubled Water....
Ben Mills (XF3) - Undeservedly lost out to Ray IMO, Ben could put on a good show. Loved his performances of 'Maggie May' 'Live and Let Die', the passionate 'Somebody To Love' and the emotional 'Smile'.

Brenda (XF2) - She was superb singing "Without You" and "I Will Always Love You"
Maria (XF2?) - She had real star potential and was a babe!

I still maintain Journey South are the best act to ever have come from this competition - and they're also the only act whose album I've purchased. How they lost to that Shayne is beyond me.

I love it when we talk about past series...

For me it will always be Rowetta XF1

I know there wasn't the mass market, teen appeal, but by God that woman can sing, and she was / is always fabulous entertainment

I was happy Shayne won though as he is an excellent singer

Oooh forgot about Chico! Entertainment with a capital E and he put the fun factor into X Factor IMO!
