Digital camera advice

Hi, my girlfriend is looking to buy a new digital camera this week, I've been looking for some decent cameras but I can't quite decide what one would suit her best. Any advice?

The camera will mostly be used for taking pictures of people (so decent flash so pics at partys will be ok, etc)

She wants it to be silver, or maybe pink, so it look stylish

She's not too fussed on having perfect image quality, as long as it looks pretty good...

Lastly her budget is about £130

Thanks

Fuji F50fd.

(Good price and I've bought from them before .... good company)

Review: http://www.steves-digicams.com/2007_...f50fd_pg5.html

I use it's forerunner, the F20 and they are excellent little compacts which are good in low light.

The F40fd is also worth looking at and very well priced on the same site .... but out of stock at the moment.

What?

Maybe it's just me, but that doesn't make any sense to me?

Are you suggesting using a phone with a camera built in instead?

In which case ..... forget it. Only the very top end camera phones come anywhere close to being as good as a half-decent dedicated camera .... even a compact. You certainly won't get anywhere near the quality of the F50fd ..... and you won't get any of these phones for £130 or less without tying yourself into a contract as well. (Which the OP may well already have)

Unfortunately hes right, the Sony Ericsson C905 with 8megapixel camera is a very nice phone but you wont get it under £399 without contract.

My favourite camera at the moment is the Casio Exilim EX-Z85 with 9.1 megapixels (and it comes in pink!) as well as being only £110.
