Thought since there was debate over the title of the previous thread, i.e. people got up in the neck about critising a 15 year old boy. Anyway, he put himself up for the competition and knows that there would be a certain level of criticism, the same as anyone else should get, its only fair.


I think tonights show highlighted how average Eoghan is, like i can't even remember the name of the song he sang and he had not range, strength or emotion to his voice. Nearly all of the other lads that sang tonight were amazing, especially Austin, Mali, Scott and Alan.

I seriously do not know how Eoghan got this far, especially since Ricki was kicked off to let that boy Liam through. In my opinion Rick was better than Eoghan.

Its hard for a young boy to sing that song.

He musnt of been that good if it didnt make an impact enough for me to remember it lol. He just sang it in a tiny almost soft kind of voice, he doenst have the strength behind his voice at all.

I think he would really struggle on the live shows. I really couldnt imagine him singing the winners single at all lol or even a whole album, the instruments would be louder than him, his whole album would have to be acoustic lol.

Very dull. Very average.

Was shocked that Simon said he'd been the 'frontrunner' on ITV2. Although he then did say he'd performed terribly tonight.

I thought was "okay" but a bit quiet, almost nasal. Liam had a stronger voice.

His voice is ok, i suppose. My mum loves him, typical :|

needs to sing louder, but totally average and boring, boring, boring!

Imagine if he did get through, it would be a total mess. Worse than the McDonald bros! Do we think he would get enough votes? i really hope that all the girls will be left in the show after a few weeks and JLS, they are way talented than who is in the other groups.

His first audition was good but he seems to have got worse and worse as the show has gone on and the pressure has built, tonight he was pretty woeful. Understandable as he's only a kid but if Simon picks him then he's got some serious work to get him through the live shows.

He will have so much work to do its unbelieveable!! if Simon does pick him, Eoghan will be such car crash telly watching. I remember watching the McD's and thinking omg this is crap and so embrassing, exactly what Eoghan will be.

I thought he was terrible. Young school boys across the country can sing like that and have more personality. Im tired of 'cute' average boys on shows, who are only on it because girls of a certain age and grandma's will go awwwwwwww.

Eoghan has a normal voice. I don't find him special. Can't believe he's in the Top 24

I'd have to dissagree with you ...... In my opinion, Eoghan is very memorable ...... I've remembered him throughout ... whereas there are others who are totally forgettable ....... I think the public will love Eoghan

He has that cute-ability factor about him .... and people will love him

But they will love him because of that and thats what annoys me. Im scared stiff how far he might get baced on that fact alone. He is the weakest singer out of the final six boys right now. Im scared that 12-15 year old girls will go crazy if he gets through.

I like him. He has a good voice, IMO.

I understand why people find him cute and likable and I think that personality wise Simon sees another George Sampson in him, but I am not so sure, Simon isn't infallible. I personally prefer the other two younger boys.
I don't think that his voice is special enough for him to become a recording artist now. May be later on as it matures.

So what, looks has nothing to do with it. I think if he got far in the show it would acutally damage the show.

For me the jury is still out on him. I liked him at audtion (and will admit to a bit of bias because of where he's from) but he hasn't really delivered since. I do think that he has potential. Maybe another year would improve him. Or maybe there is something that he can bring out this year. I haven't written him off yet.

Stop forcing your opinions on people. "he is crap. deal with it" means you think he's crap. I don't and i'm not going to change my opinion because of you.

Im not trying to force my opinions on anyone, i just like taking part in the discussion of someone who i think doesn't deserve their place on the show because they are crap/average. Like is that not the whole part of the show, public debate/discussion and ultimately voting for a deserving winner.
