I hate the rows of fluffy cotton wool balls even more!

Yeah, and the oversized pipe cleaners Flavia got in week 1.

I loved Kristina's dress last night; it suited the dance and the whole performance really well, but I would also applaud Kristina for wearing it as I thought it was quite a brave choice, being not a typical "pretty", "sexy" or "glamorous" dress. However she had the confidence to know that it would look great and enhance her and John's performance. Well done. xx

p.s. I liked Camilla's black and gold look too; the boots were a lovely touch. xx

its her legs...too straight up and down, no shape.....and the dress doesnt help that.....

I have to disagree, slightly. Camilla's legs are very slim and therefore don't have very much shape, but I think they're still nice legs and good to look at when they're jiving about all over the place! Camilla's boots and shift-style dress made the most of her "shape", they aren't a look that many other people could carry off. I admit that I am a huge fan of Camilla's, but I don't think that she looks great all of the time. Last night, however, was a sartorial success in my book.

I thought Camillas dress was really terrible

Hayley's dress was truly hideous...had they cut up 3 different dresses and randomly stitched them together ? I like asymmetric designs but that was just bonkers...it was almost a halloween outfit.

The swing dresses mostly suited the girls but they didn't seem very specifically "swing" which was a pity. I also hated the colour choices...really cheap shades - too "80's brights" and quite unforgiving...the colour wears you rather than the other way round.

(p.s I hope someone will persuade Jessie that a slightly longer skirt would be much more flattering and fit her proprtions better - whilst still showing off her good legs and being sexy...So far her dresses have all been about 3 or 4 inches too short IMO.)

Whose fault is that? Jessie's or the stylist.

I also loved Kristina's dress last night, it really suited the dance. Erin blue jive dress looked good too.

Not sure that the colour of Karen's dress suited her that well and I was not that keen on Lillia dress either - too dark (although I loved the dance!)

Who knows? Maybe it's Darren's fault.....perhaps he's a leg man hahaha .....I remember thinking the same thing last year with Letitia and sometimes with Emma too...eg her silver chacha dress. hehe

(I wasn't having a dig at Jessie )

I was wondering if there's a different wardrobe/ costume design team been employed since series 3...For me series 2+3 were maybe the peak in terms of dress design I think.

i think Ola's was the most stunning and Kristina's dress was very beautiful in its own way

Rachel's dresses are longer than you would expect for one so young and beautiful. She must instruct wardrobe to add a couple of inches to the length of her frocks.

Erin had the best dress. Lillia's shiny fabric made her look busty and larger than she is and Hayley's looked like they bought lots of extra fabric and had to use it up. Are they waiting to do paso to do spanish style dresses ? I think thetry too hard to make the dresses diffrent and flash for the tv

I did like some aspects of Lilia's dress, the upper part with red inserts was nice, but there was too much heavy material and blackness in the skirt. Too old a style for the youthful petite Lilia.

The floaty bits are very common on competition ballroom dresses .
I Liked Erin's , karen's . Lilia's and Ola's dreeses
I thought Camilla's was one of the worst I have seen on SCD , up there with Carole Vorderman's rumba outfit .

I didn't think the costumes were at all suited to the swing dance and the shoes , though ideal , looked plain daft with the Latin style dresses .

The dancers are fitted for all their dresses way back in June /July and the choice is theirs not the BBC .

I think the pros can carry off the floaty bits better than the celebs tbh.

I thought that Karen and Hayley had by far the worst dresses of all of the professional dancers last night - is it a coincidence that they ended up in the dance off? xx

They should have had swirly skirts (knee-length), pony-tails, white shirts and socks with those gold shoes for the swing. The shoes were "correct" but hideous.

The frocks were just wrong!

The swing shoes were a bit mean as they drew attention to the feet (which weren't always perfect...and we might not have noticed so much had they been wearing less dazzling footwear). I agree with whoever described them as "correct". xx

I actually thought Karen looked stunning in that dress .
