I don't think there have been that many nice dresses so far...
Karen - tin foil, then improvement with the purple one. The split reminded me of an AT dress.
Flavia - remains of dead ferrets on the arms in that waltz dress.
Camilla's chandelier look and the chiffon blouse thingy for the chacha.
Jessie's icky salsa dress and horrid swing one.
Gillian's fruit-dress and her rodeo-madam in the group chacha. Sorry but she could have been in an ep of Deadwood .
The nuclear green of Cherie and Hayley's dresses.
Only one I thought was really nice was Erin's waltz dress. Have the replaced the designers?

Jessie's was one of the worst I've seen. I'm sure the wardrobe people must have some idea how to dress an apple-shaped woman... and yet

I thought that, apart from Ola's (lovely) and Erin's (non objectionable), all the dresses today, pros and female celebrities alike, were spectacularly bad. I had high hopes after quite a few good dresses in the previous two episodes, but this week was a nearly total disaster.

Did anyone notice the ballroom shoes? Almost everyone had on the standard flesh-coloured dance shoes except Lilia in the tango and Erin in the Andrea B number - they seemed to be dancing in what looked like ordinary court shoes (Erin's were white - took me back to Southend Saturday nights in the 80s!!). I thought dance shoes always had to be strapped on??

Erin has her own dresses, that's why she usually looks so lovely, and I suspect, judging by the first two dresses, Kristina is doing the same.

Hers was the only dress that stood out as being vile to me. (barely noticed any of the others compared) It made her look 3 times wider than any of the others yet watching it last night, realised it was more the style than anything. I feel they're seeing just how bad they can make her look.

they did the same to Letitia last year - it's not easy for us busty girls with no waist, but there are some golden rules (i.e. v-neck!!!!!!)

Rachel's dresses are longer than you would expect for one so young and beautiful. She must instruct wardrobe to add a couple of inches to the length of her frocks.
She does, she said so... somewhere.

Didn't like Lisa's - strange blue drapery.
Jessie's - Just awful.

Loved Cherie's and Rachel's. Liked the style of Heather's but crikey was it sparkly!

Ballroom shoes are normally a court shoe and Latine shoes a strappy sandal type. Ballroom shoes are also normally satin and either dyed to match the dress worn white or flesh tone

Cherie looked amazing - although i think it is more down to her than the dress (which i thought was lovely)
Rachel's was very cute
Lisa's wasnt too bad, neither was christine's
Jessie's was hideous! they must hate her

I was actually going to make a comment asking whose sheet Jessie had stolen to cover up her dress.

I sincerely hope Christine's dress does not end up in the recycling bin, but I loved Cherie's.

I didn't like Cherie's dress, black and white was very boring and the sleeve was a bit random
Christine looked good in her dress but her hairstyle looked too harsh, they scraped it back as if she was a school marm
They did the best that they could with Jessie. I mean you've got to work with what you got. Anyway the sight her lazy footwork and kicks, whilst not completely covered by the flowy skirt, they were tempered. Oh and her hair looks better with the fringe gelled/clipped back
I liked Jodie's dress, nice colour and good shape for her
Oh Tess, not sure about orange!

Cherie's dress was very sophisticated and had an understated elegance. Suited her perfectly. And Rachel's quickstep dress equally good, though the colour appears to be the same as her salsa dress, no?

Shape on Christine's was lovely, but not sure about the yellow so much, and completely agree on the hair. She looks far better with it down.

Heather's was ghastly! It was hyped up so much on ITT, and I had a particular vision of it, but it looked dreadful, and the pink underneath did not help. Similarly I think the material on Jodie's (or maybe Lisa's) looked a bit cheap. Think previous years have been a lot stronger, but maybe the killer outfits will come out once the wheat is separated.

Loved the colour of Rachel's dress and thought the style really suited her.

Cherie looked amazing, very dramatic, however I was not sure about the tassel at the bottom of her dress.

Jessie's dress was a little pale and I think she needed a stronger colour.

However, a less strong colour was what Heather needed - the style was good thou.

I thought Heather's dress really hindered her. The splits in her skirt somehow seemed to make her leg and footwork look extra messy.

Me too, although it was very similar to her Salsa dress in colour. Something other than aquamarine next week, Costume Designers... variety is the spice of life, have you not heard?

Jessie's dress was a disgrace. An absolute shocker.
Didn't like Lisa's dress.
Or Camilla's. Or Heather's.

Blimey, give me a sketch-pad and I'll knock something up for next week. And I have all the artistic and fashion skills of a retarded gibbon.

Cherie, Rachel and Jodie looked lovely last night.

Tess' ex-designer must be organising Jessie, possibly Christine also after last night.

I can't make my mind up on Heather and Lisa's.

Out of the female professionals, Hayley looked sweet last night. She looks a lot younger than 27!

Also, Tess' dress last night has been my favourite of her's this year. She really has improved with her look after last year's mess .
