I had assumed that they are given the song choices and that they work on them with the music crew who are in the background, that we don't get to see in the programmes. I'm not sure what Dannii, Louis, Simon and Cheryl can do at this stage other than that anyway. If she was good enough, she would have got through regardless.

Also why are all the statements put in the plural such as 'their enthusiasm soon wore off" and "They were disappointed they weren't staying at the palatial villa" - when there is only one person giving a view? "It was relentless" - well maybe that's how they sort out the weak from the strong at this stage.

She obviously didn't take the opportunity to do that much practice because, even when she got her chance to sing in front of Dannii and Emma, she completely cocked up the song anyway - so it is hardly any surprise that it is a case of "Don't call us, we'll call you" for Susie!

If any of the judges coached and mentored the acts at this stage the judging would be bias, especially if they hung out in the local restaurant together. Dannii would get to like some of the contestants more and therefore make the judging unfair. Seriously what did Suzie expect.

I wonder if Susie actually watched the show before... like everybody said, you might discover in this phase who your mentor would be if you made it, but you're on your own until you make it to the live shows...

Hi,

It's Suzie here. I just wanted a chance to defend myself. The interview that was printed, was not actually anything like how I told it to the journalist.

I only confirmed the facts to him, i.e. we didn't see Dannii for long, we stayed in a separate hotel, etc. I didn't really give him any opinions on it and I never once said anything bad about Dannii or Emma and explicitly told the reporter that I was never expecting to either be staying in the villa or have any coaching from Dannii. I've watched the show for years and I'm fully aware of how it works.

I also never complained about the 'hardwork' and 'relentless' interviews and have spoken to the X Factor press office to let them know that the journalist basically stitched me up.

Just to let you know as well, the interview was atually set up for me by the X Factor, otherwise I would never have done it, and the part that was printed was a literally a 5 minute part of an hour long interview.

OK, well I just wanted to set the reord straight, as it's a bit upsetting to have people slagging you off over things you never actually said or meant to be put that way.

I suppose we shouldn't be surprised to hear that what was actually said during an interview was twisted and manipulated to make it out to be far more than was actually said. I feel silly for falling for it yet again and apologise for jumping to conclusions.

Thanks for the info Suzie don't let the slagging off get to you hey - believe me when I say if you had of got through and heaven for bid won the show this would be like compliments compared to what you would get then.

Good luck for the future

What - you seriously think the other judges are any different? The only thing that surprises me is that Suzie has been allowed to say it - I wouldn't mind betting she has broken a non disclosure agreement she signed to get on the show in the first place.

If you read the post about four back from yours you'll see that the programme actually set the interview up for her.

Yeah good luck Suzie for the future It's a shame Danni did not pick you as you for sure deserved a place in the final 3 especially over Daniel. It's a shame you were not shown much either throughout the show.

Oh and also *hint hint* REFORM 411 Your album was fantastic and I think the group really wasnt past it's sell by date.

I think maybe the X Factor and producers stitched you up so they could get some dramatic publicity for the show. They are all connected with the papers indicating what type of stories and publicities they want.

i reckon suzie was better than danny. there was no way he should have got in over her

it was the sob story that did it. i know that sounds a bit heartless, but i cant think of any other reason

I agree with this. It's like Louis saying Dannii is going to be replaced by Sharon - trying to get a controversial angle for more publicity. I'd guess the people at X Factor knew exactly what kind of interview it was going to be.

(I read Chart Throb recently - makes me see the whole show totally differently, hehe )

Anyone that has worked at the top level of a company know that they intricately control all aspects of the organisation to make it work. Otherwise it won't work. Communication is one of the most important parts to control.

X Factor hopeful Suzie Furlonger has hit out at Dannii Minogue for ignoring contestants she was supposed to be mentoring.

Suzie says she was one of six in the Over-25s group who spent three days rehearsing and filming in the south of France but saw Dannii for only 45 minutes.

She says she got NO coaching or guidance from Dannii or from "guest mentor" Emma Bunton.

Suzie, 26, said: "We hardly saw them at all. Danni spent less than an hour in total with us during three long days. Emma spent even less."

The Over-25s group - Suzie plus Daniel Evans, Louise Heatly, Rachel Hylton, Ruth Lorenzo and James Williams - thought they were in for the experience of a lifetime after they made it through Boot Camp to the final 24 and were told to pack their cases for St Tropez.

They weren't told which judge would be overseeing them until they got there. Suzie, from London, said: "I was hoping to get Simon Cowell because it's his show and his record label. You know he can do the most for your career. But when Dannii came out, I was really pleased. And when we met Emma too we all thought we'd done really well."

But their initial enthusiasm soon wore off when it became clear that Dannii and Emma seemed to have better things to do than hang out with contestants. They were also disappointed that they weren't staying at a palatial French villa with Dannii. Suzie said: "We were put up in a hotel an hour's drive from St Tropez. The crew woke us up at five every morning and we didn't get back until after 10 at night. The hotel was nowhere near a town so we didn't get one night out. We didn't go into St Tropez once and there was certainly no shopping or sunbathing. I knew it wasn't going to be a holiday. But I wasn't prepared for the amount of work we did. We sat in the blazing sun doing interviews to the camera. If you weren't doing an interview, you were waiting to do one. It was relentless."

Suzie - who performed One Day I'll Fly Away by Randy Crawford and How Do I Live by Leann Rimes - said: "A lot of people assumed we were going to get expert coaching from Dannii and Emma.

"But there was none. Dannii only appeared three times. She first came out on the second day when she was revealed as our judge. That took about 15 minutes.

"Then we performed for her, which took a few minutes each.

"The next day she came back to deliver her verdicts. But even that took less than half an hour.

"She was nice when she was around. But we didn't get to know her at all."

Tonight viewers see the climax of the trip - when Dannii announces her choice of the final three Over-25s who will go through to the live stages of X Factor.”

Hi.....You would expect the Judges to be interested in all of them and take them on a tour or something to make them feel more comfortable, and if they were not prepared to do that then why go to the expense of being in St Tropez at all. The contestants can sing anywhere in the UK and feel more at ease, than being transported to foreign climes.

Here's a thought for you, maybe the reason why they were taken to St Tropez was to get them all heated so that they perfomed badly and an easier way for any of the Judges to make up their minds about which 3 they wanted. The more a contestant became grumpy because of the heat the less likely they would be chosen.
