Sorry if there's has been one of these threads already, but I did a quick search and I can't see one for this week. It's my favourite thread on the forum, so I thought I'd start one ... and I'm afraid I might be being a female Craig RH this week

From the waist down it was a 10, IMO. The upper body seemed a little awkward to me, especially his arms. But then again, I can't imagine how hard it must be to be a rugby player trying to learn the jive. Fantastic flicks/kicks and (as one of the other judges said) bounce in the supporting leg, as that's one of the hardest things to get!

I think it was very evident that he tried very hard, given that it really wasn't his thing at all, and I don't think the height difference helped, although I know that can't really be used as an excuse. It was a pretty good routine, but I do think it lacked passion, which took the sheen off the effect. Well tried.

A vast improvement on his cha cha! He needs to stay in ‘character’ for the whole dance though – when Karen was doing her little parts he just seemed to phase out and watch her! It wasn’t perfect, as I’m sure he knows. I feel he controlled his movements a lot more this week, and focused on performing and having a good time, rather than just on having a good time!
John and Kristina: - 7.
A very laid back tango – but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing! You can just tell that he puts his heart and soul into trying to do well. And Kristina looked absolutely stunning!
Andrew and Ola: - 5.
I don’t know if he was trying to get into character or what, but to me he looked terrified throughout the whole thing! And the headbanging
oh my. It was a bit psychotic
. I don’t think his hold was 100% quite right throughout most of it. The choice of music was quite interesting, I felt.

Bizarre music choice. It just didn’t go with the dance at all, IMO. However, I did enjoy it! On the technical side, he was out of step very slightly at a couple of points, and his hands need A LOT more control, which for me dragged the marks down slightly. A very good effort, and I have seen many people do a lot worse.

Fantastic choreography. His shoulders were little hunched, but other than that I would say he had very good control.
