Dannii made a mistake
Picking Daniel instead of Suzie.
Suzie looks and sounds like a star. She could potentially have a huge career ahead of her. Daniel on the other hand, I can't say the same about. |

Agreed!
Suzie did everything right! Amazing voice, great presence, passionate, gorgeous, captivating etc. It's obvious the sob story got to Dannii and she kicked off the one with the actual talent and kept the (as simon would say) pub singer. Real pity. Dannii was one of my fav judges, but this decision of hers really disappointed me. I hope Suzie doesn't give up like she said, maybe someone will sign her or she'll come back next year. |

I agree. I can see him doing well in the competition because of his story, but as for being a recording artist, I can't see it at all, he'd completely bomb.

Dannii said she had the look, the charisma, the performances and the voice. Yet she chose the dude with the sob story.

A very, very poor final 6 in my opinion. Rachel is the best of them.

I think her biggest mistake was choosing Ruth rather than Suzie. She was never going to put three women through.

Definitely agree. Although Suzie wasn't my favourite, I thought she was a lot better than Daniel and deserved to go through to the live shows.

Maybe next year they should add a 5th judge and split the over 25's into two groups as well. Then each mentor only takes 2 people to the live shows. ^ that might **** up the format tho. |

Yes .... I thought so too .... but I'm guessing Dannii is counting on the story that accomplishes him (his wife dying / wishes etc) ...... I think that's the reason she plumped for him.

I agree. Suzie was good I thought. Not a winner but definately much better than Daniel (or Rachel imo).

That's the problem. The production will have told her she couldn't have three of the same sex through with it being a mixed group so she had to choose one female over the other.

I hope he doesn't sing with a big screen in the background showing his wife etc |

I couldn't believe Daniel won a place over Susie.
He's a lovely guy, and has had a tough time, but he's no more than an average singer. Simon has pilloried contestants in the past for sounding "too cabaret, pub singer, karaoke" etc Sorry, but Daniel falls into every one of these categories for me. |

I agree. She shouldn't have picked Daniel over Susie. I also think Rachel's a mistake.

Daniel is a nice bloke but very average IMO and sounds like a pub singer or karaoke singer IMO, compared to Susie (even not compared to her TBH), he is not great IMO.

Are you reading this, X Factor producers? Well probably not, but their assistants might be. Check out the sentiments around here - we hate the sob stories, we hate the fact Dannii blatantly had to pick one bloke out of the three even if the best three over-25s were female...

Daniel seems like a nice guy but I was surprised he made it to the judges houses stage, never mind getting through to the live shows. He has not a bad voice but no more than that, unless they have been covering it up, up until now.
Feel sorry for Suzie as she should have got to the final 12. Rachel has a good voice but I'm not sure she won't end up more trouble than she's worth for Danni, and will therefore not be popular with the public. I suppose she might realise she has to tow the line and take the chance she has been given.....time will tell! I think Ruth is good but I can't help thinking we might get to week 2 or 3 and Simon will be saying 'the singing in Spanish is getting a bit played out now....'. Hope she does well though. |
