I have lots of different varieties of chickens. The majority lay brown eggs, but they are different coloured brown eggs. Those eggs didnt come from the same bird.

I keep chickens too - they make the most fantastic pets, don't they?
Like yours, my girls are free range and have the run of the garden! I'd never eat them and they'll hopefully live to 15 years!I got the picture from this site, it says the poor chicken is 'constantly laying' - I just feel so sorry for it, and think that if people buy these £2 birds they're encouraging the appauling treatment of both these birds and battery hens.
