I can't stand Brendan! He's arrogant, smug and absolutely vile. He's like a straight Craig Revel Horwood. What is so appealing about him is beyond me!

Fancy Brendan I certainly don't, nor would I rate him as the best male pro as someone suggested earlier, not by a long shot.

Presumably Natasha Kaplinsky found him attractive?

Or did she; when the mist cleared?

There was an instance last season when Len called Brendan a "prawnhead". At the time, I thought that was outrageous and insulting, and I think I might have posted on here saying so.

This season, on DWTS, I was watching a dancer called Mark Ballas, who, IMO, has some similarities with Brendan, in terms of being "good looking" and, very egotistical. The way Ballas seemd to treat his, very attractive, partner, seemed to me, to be very poor. I'd like to have called Ballas a "prawnhead".

Since that, I've been reevaluating my opinion of Brendan.

Now I'm not sure.

I'm wondering if Len may have been right.

Sorry, Len.

Well said Puffle. Congratulations to those who at least bothered to spell his name right this time though makes a refreshing change!

I'm not a Brendan 'fancier' but I do like a man with a bit of testosterone Brendan has a persona on the dancefloor that really appeals to me and my eye is always drawn to him in group dances.

He is wonderful to watch and quite frankly what he gets up to off the dance floor I couldn't really give a figgy about. It's his hips I'm interested in

tis true Trish, none of us "know" Brendan......

but I'm afraid I absolutely LOVE him!

I think he has this awful TV persona - but if you see him on other things......e.g. Love Island.........many other shows, I think he comes across as a lovely and sensitive guy - I think he IS sensitive and can be easily hurt - but can't help his temper!

I actually find him really sexy for some reason - I think its just that, that I saw in him above.

I know you'll all laugh! but I honestly do think he is a lovely, sensitive, caring guy! AND one who is truly honest, as well as protective and loyal to those he loves (see many NZ articles about his family).

And that the Beeb just LOVE to play up the side which will exacerbate the Bad Boy image.

Sorry everyone, I think Brendan is FAB.

*waits to be shot at and will take it in good humour*

I have to laugh at you lot. What a waste of time and effort to start this thread and for the rest of you to rack your brains to find another daft, mean and vitriolic comment to add to it. Have you nothing better to do on a Monday morning? There are some really dreadful, wicked people in this world where, perhaps, your sentiments here would suit. But Brendan? A dancer? Someone with a talent? Deserving all this? I am completely shocked.

Well said tango trish

All you people slagging him off do you know him ? have you spent any time in his company ?

Or are you just making up your mind by the very biased bbc coverage and the witterings of that women fom gmtv

Another pointless thread

Just wanted to say that I don't fancy any of the male professional dancers. I find them all a bit effeminate. They all seem to be a bit narsasistic, but I guess that's part of being a pro dancer. Brendan has all these characteristics in spades.

I didn't really have an opinion of Brendan either way, until he was partnered with Fiona Phillips... Some of the stuff he said about her was absolutely uncalled for. I know she wasn't a very good dancer- but Brendan certainly didn't go the right way about building her confidence up... There's being a bad boy and then there's being rude, and I think sometimes Brendan crosses that line.

I do think he's got better over the past couple of years though, and Lisa seems to be quite a good match for him...

Is he attractive? Not for me, but I can see why some women might like him....

I am, of course, only going on what we see from the show- but isn't that how most of us have formed an opinion on these dancers/celebs (I know there are some that have met them- but at a guess (could be wrong) I'd say that was the minority on this forum?)? I don't 'know' any of them personally- but there are plenty of appreciation threads and other threads out there formed on exactly the same basis.....

Why do people always slag poor Brendan off, must be jealously. There's 1 or 2 pro's i don't like but i never say anything against them.Brendan is sexy,a great dancer & makes that show what it is.

that's exactly right. I was at pains in my post to say that I can only go on what I see on SCD because I don't know the bloke.
If you never met any of these people and most of us haven't, every judgement you make is based on what the BBC choose to show us and then filtered through our own personal experiences/likes/dislikes

Agreed. I know it's not the best way to form an opinion on somebody- but it's the only thing most of us have got to go on....
The BBC are controlling most of everything we see- but that's true for everyone on the show not just Brendan. They have to have said/done these things for the Beeb to have the footage to put out- I know that leading questions are often used but still....
I try not to make judgements on personality- and I try to form my opinions on things based on the dancing- how people dance, how good they are with their partners, what sort of teacher they are etc... But it is hard sometimes....
Brendan isn't the only one who gets it- people have been quite vile about Vincent on here recently, and Karen gets a lot of stick.... I've seen Rachel Stevens and Mark Foster called dull by any number of people.... Mostly opinions formed by what people see on the show- but then there's really nothing else to go on....

I don't think jealousy has much to do with it. Unless Brendan possesses some unique quality that only women can notice, most of the professional male dancers on SCD are just as potentially attractive (and possibly more) as Brendan.

I don't know the guy (obviously), but I find his SCD persona tiresome at times; the whole bend/break the rules and make your celeb partner feel like dirt after they let you down routine is getting stale.

He's in great shape, passionate, talented, got a 'reputation'....and he's on the telly. I think he's a bit of an idiot at times but yes I can understand women liking him.

Now women fancying an openly gay man like Craig. That I do not get.

FGS if you are going to bother starting a vitriolic post about someome at least spell their name correctly!!!
It's BRENDAN .
What annoys me even more is that if a woman had started a post like this about one of the female pro dancers there would have been hundreds of men crying "jealousy" - so far there's only been a couple.
I am not a big fan of Brendan myself re his looks or his TV persona but I will say "each to their own" & you can't take away from him the fact he's a good dancer.
Plus I agree with dottie; he does seem to have sexual chemistry.
