I think he is attractive

I wasn't keen on Brendan's personality until I saw him on Love Island and warmed to him. I've always thought he's very charismatic and love watching him dance. I also love Vincent and James, but prefer watching Brendan, he's just got something about him

if we have a thread asking why people fancy Brendan why not threads asking why people fancy any of the other professionals - it's all a matter of personal taste

tall dark handsome sexy mover - what more do you want?

He manages to be a bloke and gorgeous - much as I love Matt and Ian, they're pretty rather than handsome, and I don't see any attraction in James or Vincent. (Tho James is better since he had his hair cut!)

He does (did) enough of the bad boy thing to get noticed but everyone who's met him (not me unfortunatley) says he's lovely too.

The simple answer is different people find different things attractive and it would be very boring (plus highly competative ) if we all liked the exact same type. E.g. although he's a very nice man I simply can't see what people see in Matt Cuttler, however the same people who like Matt would probably say the same about me and my, err, appreciation, of James Jordan.

Personally Brendan's not for me, but he obviously does it for other people. No doubt some of the people I personally like would leave others perplexed.

I find him annoying - but he's a good dancer.

This may seem like a contradiction but I like Brendan and Matthew. They are the two who stand out for me in group dances. Both are nice to look at which is nice but there is something about watching them in the pro dances that catches my eye. Brendan always looks like he's enjoying himself when he knows he can dance at his best. As many have said we're getting the edited version of each dancer but I'm never going to end up meeting either of them so I'm happy to have some eye-candy on the show.

In terms of dance ability I think James is quite good too but don't fancy him so it isn't an angry bloke attraction.

As for fancying an openly gay male like Craig (I don't) but someone's sexuality doesn't make them any less attractive. If it did John Barrowman wouldn't have as many female fans as he does. In fancying a celeb you're highly unlikely to ever end up with them so for me I'm going on looks and what I see of that person in interviews etc rather than who might make a good boyfriend/husband.

Snap I do too! Being attractive to someone is not something you can explain. My OH is small and bald (no its not Dominic Littlewood) and he was never short of partners before me, he's just nice and kind.

Personally I don't "fancy" Brendan at all, but then I don't "fancy" any of the dancers or the so-called celebs. I respect Brendan as a professional dancer whose talent and dedication have brought him to the top of his profession. Anyone who has such talent and the willingness to work so hard to achieve is admirable in my view.

Attraction is a funny thing - it's either there or it isn't. You can be irresistibly attractive to one woman, while her friend may find you utterly repugnant and not be able to understand what her friend sees in you. It's a matter of perception, personal preference and maybe chemistry. Someone on another thread described Ola Jordan as "breathtakingly beautiful" a few days ago. I would agree Ola is very attractive, but I can't see her "breathtaking beauty" for the life of me. I think Nigella Lawson is gorgeous, while my husband thinks she's "nothing special" (should I take him to the doctor, do you think??)

Very good thanks hon! Was having a lurk before heading back to bed (on nights tonight!), and noticed the lack of Brendan love....

Different strokes for different folks

I think he's fine!

I actually find him really sexy for some reason - I think its just that, that I saw in him above.

I know you'll all laugh! but I honestly do think he is a lovely, sensitive, caring guy! AND one who is truly honest, as well as protective and loyal to those he loves (see many NZ articles about his family).

And that the Beeb just LOVE to play up the side which will exacerbate the Bad Boy image.

Sorry everyone, I think Brendan is FAB.

*waits to be shot at and will take it in good humour* ”

I agree Tango Queen - he came across brill on Love Island and whilst I don't fancy him - I have nothing against him at all and fully appreciate his talents

Good point. Women always go for that type.

proper men are capable of being masculine without being a "bad lad"

The fact that he went on Love Island speaks volumes about him. He is average looking but his personality is abysmal.

kittles, you are probably in the Minority. Most women I know go for the alpha type men. If a guy was stunning and had gentle personality, it's big turn off for some women. Honestly I have seen ugly men get any women they wanted because of their arrogant personality.

without wanting to go massively OT for too long...

maybe I am in a minority and there are far more women who want to be treated badly by an arrogant arse - more fool them. I think a bloke can be assertive and confident and masculine without being agressive, arrogant and macho.

but my point still stands, SOME women go for the alpha male bad lad but not all of them and what you said was "yeh women always go for that type" -implying we ALL do and we clearly all don't

Haven't real add the posts, but I've always thought I was a 'lady'. A heterosexual one. 20/20 vision (with corrective glasses or lenses). And sane, and stuff.......

Fancy Brendan? Maybe after my lobotomy....

No man who loves and appreciates himself as Brendan does can ever be really fanciable even if he is handsome. Brendan has very average looks and have you ever noticed the shape of his stomach when he's wearing a fitted shirt? Not very attractive. But his personality alone is enough to put anyone off. He behaves unpleasantly to his partners and can't stick to the rules. He is the least attractive male dancer in the competition by miles.

Seems to me he's a chalk & cheese kind of guy. What to me is oily & loathsome, to others is sex on a stick. It's just a matter of perception - and whatever happens to float your boat.

So yes - since he provokes violent distaste in me, I can quite understand why he does precisely the opposite to them that loves him with a drooling passion!
