Was it mentioned why Hayley and Brendan wern't in the Pro dance? In fact were Anton and Erin also missing, def only 5 couples on the floor.

Possibly because Hayley is supposedly a ballroom specialist, as are Anton and Erin, and none of them may have been comfortable or indeed able to dance a good rumba?

I think perhaps because Anton and Erin did the pro dance with Andrea Bocelli could explain why they did not take part Brendan and Hayley I can offer no insight to but I can say that both Craig and Brendan thought she could dance a good rumba

And spookily enough my OH is fairly fond of this clip to

The rumba is Brendan's favourite dance and Hayley doesn't seem to have a problem with it. Who knows how they decide which pros take part. I did think it was better to have just five couples. Maybe Vincent & Flavia could have sat that one out but that would still have left Ian & Camilla.

What is going on in NZ though? Brendan Cole gave the dance '7' whilst Craig gave it '8'.

I did think V+F should have not done the rumba and had Ian and Camlla doing it instead. It seemed a bit ridiculous to have them doing two dances and Ian and Camilla doing nothing.

It may be something as simple as those particulars pros, or one of the partners, having another commitment. For example, Hayley may have asked for more time with Mark.

I guess Vincent and Flavia are Demo dancers at SCD. They always get a lot of dances during the show.

You are probably right. Ian has a partner, who is one of the weakest dancers,Camilla wanted Tom's jive to be better than Austin's, Hayley has Mark and even Brendan & Lisa may have wanted to put in more hours after the mauling they got. With rehearsals on Fridays the time between each programme is quite short.

There's also the issue of who's still got partners in the comp and who hasn't. It makes sense for Flavia to do more now that she's not competing.

It could simply be that as the floor is so small, it is difficult to put all the pros on together, and they will dance in 'rota'?

There are those of us who have complained in previous weeks that there were too many couples on the floor for us to see properly what's going on. What's at issue is how it was decided who should dance. In previous series some pros seem to have danced more than others.

Maybe some pros are more available than others? Sometimes if the celebs have to be elsewhere - even abroad - for their 'proper' jobs, their partners go with them, which would make them less available than those who are based in or around London.

But who knows! Maybe they just put the names in a hat, or ask for volunteers!!!!

Agree with you there. Don't get me wrong, Vincent and Flavia are beautiful dancers and I love to see them perform, but there a load of other amazing dancers on the show who rarely get the chance to perform.
