He seems like one of the only ones who doesn't strain hard when he's singing and just sings.
Other contestants on X Factor bend and contort when they are singing like they are going to breathe fire.
I realliy like this guy but I feel he is getting a lot of negativity on this forum. I thought James would have done better than him but Daniel could do really well. He's pretty much the only one for me this year that doesnt annoy me!
I like this guy a lot but from the looks of things this forum doesn't. He has yet to pick up a vote in the favourite contestant poll and is in the lead on the least favourite contestant poll 
I just hope the public warm to him and get voting.

I think the forum on here does not present the whole UK. We do not know who is liked and who is disliked in the whole UK. Do not worry about who the forum likes and dislikes because it is only a minority
I like him too. Very genuine person
You can also tell that singing comes from his heart, whereas most of them (especially the youngsters) are in it for the fame and fortune

I like him a lot, and cannot comprehend all the negativity he's getting on here. He hasn't done anything, as far as I'm aware, to upset anyone, unless I've missed something, and he's got a pretty great voice. I much prefer him to quite a few of the others who go put through.

I think it's because he isn't a power singer and doesn't as I stated above, bend and contort, screech or appear to busting veins and capillaries when he sings.
I think that's a misconception gained from videos where they are asked to behave in a painful manner for dramatic reasons where as if you go back to the 60s and 70s, singers like Daniel were very much able to sing while they are - well they just sing.
Very nice voice. Reminds me of Luther.

OK, I feel a bit silly now. He was pretty poor tonight - not the worst though, that honour goes to Scott/Rachel.
Daniel is an absolutely great guy and I hope good things happen to him - he's had an awful ride so far and he deserves a lucky break.
However, he's nowhere near good enough to win X Factor. He's a cabaret singer at best and hopefully he'll get a lot of work on the back of this show.
