The BLUB Factor!

I really had to skip through most of last night's show because I got heartily sick of all the blubbing. The worst culprits were the boys.

I know it's important to them and I can well understand showing emotion, but really, have these people not heard of using some self control?

This is all I ever want in life.

Come on people, you won't DIE if you don't get on The X Factor! There are lots of successful people out there who didn't enter a talent show - there are other ways of making it you know!

So get those shoulders back, dry the tears, stiffen that upper lip and show some grit. You'll be needing it in the very tough world that is showbiz!

(Not to mention life in general. )

I missed to X-Factor due to a three hour power cut and having seen some clips on GMTV this morning I'm gald I did- it just seemed to consist of power ballads and people sobbing........

I must admit, it does annoy me. I think 90% of it is put on anyway.

Do people who have even the most moderate degree of emotional control not apply for the X Factor? If I didn't get through I would just smile politely, thank the judge and leave, not roll around on the floor, wailing and screaming and declaring that my life is over. Do people do this in real life when they fail an audition?

It used to be a selected few had a sob story and cried a bit but now everybody is in floods of tears even when they have no sad background story whatsoever but just fear the ultimate pain of rejection - it's all sob and no story.
