Just seen that The Voice Within from 2002 is #89 in the itunes chart, wonder how that made it.

I'll never miss an opporunity to share my love of this song.

Brilliant song and and an equally impressive video. Just a shame she went off a bit during Back to Basics...

One of the few positives that came out of her album, 'Stripped'.

That and 'Beautiful'.

Just one??

That album was amazing. In fact I'd say it was so good that the reason she hasn't matched it's success with anything recent is because of this.

Maybe I'm biased as it's one of my all time fave albums but I do think it set a high standard.

Imo, Walk Away (from the "Stripped" era) is the best song she ever recorded. I genuinely think it's incredible!

Am I right in thinking the X-factor only have the rights to play certain artists? Whenever I watch it it's usually either playing, Whitney, Mariah, Christina or bloody Westlife!

Can they not afford the rights to Madonna's songs for example?

SCD seem to play a random variety of songs, regardless of artist or label.

They're probably covered by ITVs blanket licence, which usually means they can play almost anything they want.

They choose these songs because they're the ones which kick up more emotion. Pure cliché.

Tell me about that song is AMAZING! I saw the video to it again recently on VH1 and she really does convey the emotions well in the video sooo simple but yet effective.

The whole stripped album is FLAWLESS! From Impossible to Walk away to Voice within to Dirty to Beautiful to FIGHTER [ I adore this song soo much]

Whoever said only a few damn there were soooo many great songs on Stripped.

Well Simon is record boss to Christina and Westlife so he uses the show to sell them.

Looks like I went through the same thought processes as many others this weekend.

I'd heard it a couple of times previously on the X Factor this series and really gre to like it just by hearing it again a few times.

It seemed it wasn't only me thinking that, as a couple of the other people I was watching it with made similar comments. Obviously we weren't alone either, judging by this evidence!

Was a good tune - video was one long shot too.

Album version had a good instrumental bit in the middle that the single cut out (for the most part) . . . . my sister always had it on in her room. :P

I brought a copy of the album for my sister and I agree - it's a top notch album. It has a general mix of everything you would like any album to have, from 'Dirrty' to 'Can't Hold Us Down'.

However, the main problem I have with it was she had been given too much freedom and creative control at the wrong possible time. As much as I liked the song 'Dirrty', the music video was a step too far and I point the finger at it for the failure to reach #1 in the US or mainstream Europe (excluding here).

Had she released 'Beautiful' as the lead song which was what Perry and the record producers nagged about, that would be a different agenda.
