Panasonic Viera

My daughter has just bought a Panasonic Viera TV and when she connected her Daewoo DVD recorder the screen is green. There is a picture but it's green. The DVD has been hacked to make it region free. Would this cause a conflict with the TV's settings? She connected a video recorder and that's fine and so is her old Play Station. Has anyone heard of hacked DVD players causing this type of problem?

Thanks

It's a well known problem with a wide range of cheap DVD players that were built wrong, if it's got an S-Video socket on it, use that instead - or, last resort, use AV phono's.
