What A Bunch Of Babies....!!

I've never witnessed so many weeping wimps before.

X-Factor has turned into one big sob fest.

I wish the wannabes would get a grip!

The tears do get tedious

It is absolutely the most infuriating thing in the world.....

Unfortunately, it's forced me to give up on the show.

The contestants never used to be this bad. I don't remember Will Young ever shedding a tear.

Now we have sob stories galore beforehand, acts bursting into tears during their performances (e.g. the Spanish lass) and then hysterical crying when the judge's voice their decisions.

It's ridiculous.

Even Cheryl has been getting in on the act.

I wish they'd all lighten up.

It was just painful to watch last night. Verging on the ridiculous.

While I can understand they would get emotional being put through to the live finals - but that is just the start.

They could get booted of the first show if they don't get the votes...

So why don't they concentrate on being likeable, instead of weeping and whaling all over the place?

Lets face it, you could be the best singer in the world, if the public don't take to you, you ain't getting very far in the show!

I had to fast forward through the show last night because it was so tedious all the weeping and wailing. I had more or less lost the will to live with the show anyway and that was the final straw for me. I've seen who they picked and that will do as far as I'm concerned. I really couldn't care less who wins. I've already posted elsewhere that I won't be bothering to watch the show this year.

yesterday was horrific. This year we were promised less sob stories because last years was ridicolous such as nikkis dad and ladida... this year the sob stories have been replaced by over the top crying.

When they get told they've made it, of course they will cry.
I thought it was moving, from alll them. The contestants to the judges.

The problem is that they were blubbing even before they knew whether they were going through from what I saw. I haven't followed the Boot Camp but from posts I've read I understand that Austin Drage is constantly turning on the waterworks.

If he doesn't succeed in the show maybe he ought to aim to be an actor, as he seems to be putting plenty of practice in.

We're all entitled to an opinion, but what you found moving I found trite.

I haven't seen much either but I did dl the judges houses and @ this point I didn't mind the tears.

I can't say much about the auditions as I've yet to see them, but I've been hearing that it was a lot of sobbing there.

As long as the 'sob-story' doesn't over take the talent, I don't mind much. I mean, we all have them, so everyone can relate to that. I just hope that the ppl who vote will vote on their fav talent and not fav sob story.

I actually did start a thread on this topic this morning but it seems to have got lost in the mist as there are so many new topics today. Anyway, I quite agree, and my original post was this:

"I really had to skip through most of last night's show because I got heartily sick of all the blubbing. The worst culprits were the boys.

I know it's important to them and I can well understand showing emotion, but really, have these people not heard of using some self control?

This is all I ever want in life.

Come on people, you won't DIE if you don't get on The X Factor! There are lots of successful people out there who didn't enter a talent show - there are other ways of making it you know!

So get those shoulders back, dry the tears, stiffen that upper lip and show some grit. You'll be needing it in the very tough world that is showbiz!

(Not to mention life in general. )"
