beverly had no sob story....the producers told her to pull out a stupid story.....then on her vt before she performs, she said that everyone has got their family to support them, but my mums dead and she cant support me, then she literally said 'its not like i can dig her up from the ground to make her come back'

totally nuts

For no apparent reason whatsoever her VT contained her talking about how she was adopted, how she had tracked down her real mother but found out she was dead. She then broke down and started talking about how she wanted to dig her up and ask her why she abandoned her/why didn't she love her or something. The VT ended and she came out with a big smile on her face and proceeded to sing You're Beautiful by James Blunt. Needless to say she ended up in the bottom 2.

He was always struggling to compete with that one!

Went down as a bit of light-hearted relief after all the stories of bereavement etc.

That bloke with the long hair from a few years ago that really really didn't want to go back to his job of putting up tents (or something). I cried a river.

The girl from Wales who lived near the town that has had a lot of teenage suicides - she didn't know any of them but wanted to do something positive for her area.

What about the woman in her late thirties (last year?) who's dad had died clutching an x-factor entry form or summat?
Hello mrs - quite a lot of people your age have lost at least one parent - ffs.

The other one that drives me mad is how they all go - 'it's the only thing I've ever wanted to do', 'it's my life'. Well actually the rest of us lesser mortals also have things they'ld rather be doing than the daily grind thanks very much

Let it all out Angua.

And you're referring to Niki, who finished in 4th place.
