I have a Sony Discman with "ESP2" antishock. It's like a memory buffer, it holds a few seconds of music on a chip. Works well, you have to be really violent with it to make it skip. This machine is a bit old now (a few years), but I expect the equivalent will still cost the best part of £100

I also have a Sony Discman - I've tried many times to make it skip - and failed miserably - this may be your best bet in this price range - I'm sure I've seen them for around £50
