The X Factor final 12 underwent teeth-whitening at a London clinic as part of their makeover ahead of the live programmes.
The group were under instructions from supremo Simon Cowell, who is said to have spent thousands on getting his own Hollywood smile just right.
Last year 48-year-old Simon sent some of his acts, including Same Difference, to get their teeth laser whitened.
This year everyone in the final 12 received the treatment at the Pearlys Clinic in Primrose Hill, north London.
A source said: 'Simon wants the acts to look their best once the live stages start. He is convinced they will all look better with perfectly white teeth as part of the makeover.'
In the past Cowell has jokingly offered to fund Louis Walsh's new teeth.
'He does need them, it's a big job,' said Cowell.
'I'll start with just one tooth this year. Then we can keep going for the next 20 years.'
But Louis isn't impressed by Simon's approach to grooming, saying this week: 'He is the vainest person I’ve ever met in my entire life.
'He always has to have something new done for the start of the live shows.
'Last year he got new teeth and we all know he likes a bit of Botox. But this year I think he might go a bit more drastic and turn up with a new chin or nose. It really wouldn’t surprise me.'
Meanwhile, it appears there has been plenty of celebration at the secret X Factor hideaway since the finalists were announced.
Bottles of champagne and pizza boxes were seen spilling out of the rubbish bins outside the competitors bolt-hole.
