Newest and Best Phone available
Hi, My contract is due to end next month and I don't know what phone to choose...
I prefer O2 so I can get free (inclusive) TXT's abroad But my main thing is I want the most modern eye catching phone available, I have an Itouch so an Iphone isn't really appealing as that goes everywhere with me anyway and it would just be a duplication... Ideas, opinions please... |

How about the Samsung I8510. 8mp camera with VGA record for capturing them great moments while you are on holiday.
Don't get me wrong the SE C905 also looks to be a good 8mp camera phone with flash & gps but is let down by it's crappy QVGA record .Both of these are the latest bits of eye candy & are better than the N96. However if you like Nokia then it maybe worth you looking at the N85 which has a better screen than the N96 with better battery life & lens cover on the camera .

Although l am a big Nokia fan, the only thing that looks better than my N95 8Gb at the mo is the Sony X1, due out mid-Nov.

I've got an iPod touch as well and the one thing I know I would like from a mobile to suplement it is GPS and a camera. Obviously getting an iPhone is out of the question as it would duplicate the other features, the Google G1 is out cos they're in bed with T-Mobile so that leaves a decision point. Do you want more music capabilities? I guess not cos you have the iTouch, large camera? You can get the Sony Ericsson C905 which has an 8Megapixel camera and GPS, or the new HTCs like the HTC Touch Diamond.
Personally im going to go for the C905, it doesnt look the best but im a features kinda guy. |

What about the new Nokia 5800 Xpress or the BlackBerry Storm? Both are due out soon and have had rave reviews. I'm going for the BlackBerry as soon as my contract ends.

yeah the Nokia 5800 looks pretty sweet but jakboi already has a great music device in the iPod touch, so why duplicate. In my eyes Nokia aren't doing a great job of keeping up with the competition. Sony on the other hand is doing a great job in all areas especially their walkman range.

I'm going to wait until the N85 is out before I make any decisions about my next phone.

Already out, seen a few people in Italy saying they have bought it already, so its filtering through the market now.

I'm guessing he's praising it because hes seen all the hype about the blackberry storm. Some say its in the lead to take over from the iPhone as it comes with a app store, haptic response touch screen and it has the reputation in the enterprise as a solid manufacturer of phones. Quote:

Get and iPhone, sell your iPod Touch!
You get internet EVERYWHERE then and there is no device better for web-browsing. Many of the really cool apps are internet dependent so you lose use of them as soon as you leave Wifi connectivity. Plus, When you're listening to your music and you phone rings... you know what I'm getting at! Avoid the N96... it's such a disappointment... any other N Series is just inferior, so why bother!? Sony's ALWAYS break (trust me I used to work in a phone shop) Oh and avoid LG, they are just crap! |

So did i. Do they always break? Not the ones i sold nor have just now and have had for years. G/f has the same phone as my k800i bought at the same time and its perfect. Quote:

Used to be crap. Some of the phones they have now are excellent.
