Joined as well. Hannah well deserves a record contract. The judges were mad not letting her go through to the final.

It's just the way the show goes. If the producers and Simon have no intention of letting really good singers through then they shouldn't bother showing them to us in the first place.

They did put 3 really good singers through though. Not everyone can get through.
I don't think there was a lot of good singers there overall though too. I feel the boys were very very bad. Not a good singer in them bar Mali. The over 25s are in fact decent but nothing outstanding. The groups are very bad apart from from JLS who will be cool to watch. So no, I don't agree that they put through 3 really good singers because Alexandera isn't a good singer. She's just an image that many believe is quality but it's not. |

Hannah is better than Diana definitely but different singers. Laura is a in a league of her own. Alexandera is not a good singer - she's just someone who shouts which leads people to associate her with the western cultural obeisance of shouting singers. She's not good. I would have put Amy through before Alexandera too - Amy or Hannah.

But Laura blew me away with her performance on Saturday night. I just can't believe that the judges would choose Diana over Hannah. Like you say they both have entirely different voices from each other. I was hoping the final three girls would be Alex, Laura and Hannah. I felt that Cheryl liked Hannah but I thought the other Girl Aloud singer that was sitting judging the girls with Hannah didn't like Hannah full stop. It was just a feeling I picked up. I really enjoy the X Factor but for me I feel less enthuastic now that Hannah isn't in the competition anymore. Because she was a real talented singer and for me she had star quality. AS for the others. I don't like any of the boy singers and the groups I'm not struck on any of them. The over 25's. I don't like Rachel at all. The only one that I can remember out of the over 25's group was the Spanish girl who was an emotional singer. |

That's interesting what you're saying. I loved Alex's voice the first time I heard her and still do. But as soon as I saw her walk into the room before she started to sing I thought. "A black girl." "She will have a great voice." "Perhaps another Whitney Houston?"

The only one that I can remember out of the over 25's group was the Spanish girl who was an emotional singer. Eventually a golden child will win, as is the case and they will be the easily moulded. And you know what? It's the most desperate for fame. The one who needs it most and not needs it most for sob stories but the one who would do anything for needing it... that's who people like to work with when lots of money is involved. But as for Diana - the view is that you put people behind a desk and they command respect and create an air of authority. It's a psychological stunt and they create this stage of judge and jury that people use as an academic marker and it's such a showman's trick. Totally Derren Brown in the way it's set up to give people the air of seriousness. Relating to Diana, it's like people haven't heard that sound before so they are relating it to previous memories of shouting contestants that go straight through in the snippets of edits. Giving the impression of a recurring memory of numerous evidences that people believe to be fact - pure knowledge of excellence relating to the judge and jury stage of the four judges. It's all about - what have they made not what they are doing. They've made a stage not a real audition situation. |

If Hanna recorded a cd, Id be interested enough based on what Ive heard of her voice to at least check the music out, and I think it is a shame that we won't get to hear her in the live shows.

I loved Hannah - she was my favourite of all the girls, i was so gutted she didnt get through.
There was something really different about her and in my opinion had the best voice of all the girls, and was definitely the most consistent performer. Watching the clip of her on This Morning - she seems so lovely as well - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGphDUj6HC0 When they question her about being quite and reserved the show...she says 'i was afraid of messing up an saying something stupid so i just wanted to let my singing do the talking..' But we will know X-FACTOR has no place for a nice quite reserved person....they prefer hysterical crying men (Austin)...mouthy girls with a 'past' (Rachel) and of course the never ending sob stories...
