It would be moussaka, because it has all the ingredients I love if done authenticly. Courgettes instead of aubergines is so wrong. And it has to be lamb mince not beef. A small feta salad on the side, and fresh crusty bread with a small bowl of just this side warmed olive oil to dip in.

Well that's this Sunday's dinner sorted.

Pasta tubes in a rich tomato sauce with loads of cheddar cheese grated on top, a garlic bread and big glass of full fat coke. If my wasteline would allow it could live on that.

I don't know. You'd get sick of everything after a while.

I'll cheat somewhat and say a roast dinner without specifying the components therefore leaving it open to having something a bit different each day

Starter-Grilled Langoustine with Soda Bread.

Main-Medium Rare Ribeye, thin cut chips and Bearnaise sauce.

Dessert-Lemon Sorbet.

Wine-Sauvignon Blanc to start, then a good Rioja with the steak. A large Drambuie liquer coffee to finish.

Baked potato, cheese and chive cottage cheese, pickled beetroot and pepper leaf salad for main course, which makes me feel less guilty about having black cherry cheesecake with double cream for dessert.

Gin
I was 16 but looked older. Bought a bottle of gin and sat in my room listening to my Bronski Beat album (record!), mostly to Smalltown Boy. Got totally pis*** and cried. Went downstairs and told my mum I was gay.

Chips
Age 14. Parents had no money. Holiday in Lowestoft and was last night of the week. We all walked about 8 miles and my dad said we could have a small portion of chips. I can still taste the grease on my lips.

Chocolate
Age 6, Christmas. Sitting on the worktop in the kitchen almost wetting myself with excitement as was my turn to get the chocolate from the advent calendar. As I had 2 sisters we had to take turns hence I got a chocolate every 3 days.”

I love this post.
