iphone: contract / pay as u go
Hi,
I've been waiting for the iphone to be pay as u go and now it is. I want to purchase the 16G which is selling for just under £400. I'm now wondering whether it's better (cheaper) to go contract ... with the pay as you go you only get unlimited free wifi for 12 months and there isn't the option to upgrade when a new version of the phone releases. On average I spend approx £15 per month, I'm on a pay as you go phone with another network. The sales person weren't that helpful at offering advice on what's more suitable, was wondering whether anyone can help me come to a decision which would be good for the long run. |

if you are happy to use the same phone for 18 months (ie are not interested in having the freedom to buy a newer model as soon as it's released) and spend £15 per month, i think you should get pay monthly.
Pre pay: £15 x 18 = £270 Wifi/Web for last 6 months = £60 16GB = £399 Total = £729 Post pay: popular tariff is £35 x 18 = £630 16 GB = £159 Total = £789 So it's £60 more for a lot more minutes and texts. |
