Alesha Dixon also releases on November 3rd and could be a real challenger.

I am surprised in that I actually like Leona's song best of these. It is kinda retro, but she has the voice to carry a song like this, and the song itself is upbeat and fun.

The Beyonce song doesn't show the better aspects of her voice , and it's not bad, but just not great IMO as a song overall.

Christina's song is also upbeat and fun, but sounds like a clone of recent song by others. She sounds like any old 'popstar' on this track. Not bad, but couldve been better.

AS for how they will do?
I think Christina and Leona will be close, with Beyonce slightly lower in the charts.

And sorry but I think you are exaggerating seen as though she says "hope you forgive me" numerous times during the chorus. Even with the layered vocals it's pretty clear. Unless you've only heard it once or something but I'd still find it astonishing you couldn't hear her say that at least once.”

I've heard it twice, and I was exaggerating - I made out the word "understand". But, seriously, I can't understand any of it apart from that one word. It just sounds like she's humming to me My friends and family all said the same, and they've heard it more than me.

Alesha's song is brilliant; as is Christina's...

Not too sure on Leona's to be honest... will probably be Number 1 though

I love all 3 song but if I was to pick the charts it would be

1st Christina = Its more pop/club/dance song so will be play at more locations eg shops/club/pubs/radio.
2nd leona = Its a upbeat/RnB song but will not really fit into the clubs/pubs unless someone give is a dance feel.
3rd Beyonce = Its slow ballrd RnB song so its ok for shops/radio but will get no where near the clubs/pubs.

Isnt Dido new single out that week? If so wont that be in with a chance as its been a few years for fans to wait, so they will be looking forward to it?

It's Christina and Alesha for me but Christina is going to suffer because they still haven't shot a video for her single yet.

I'm actually surprised Simon has not booked Christina for the X Factor as she is in the UK in a few weeks and she is on his label. He never normally misses a chance to plug her.

Do we have the line up of all the guests confirmed yet because I would be surprised if she doesn't appear.

Aguilera's song is getting a very lukewarm reception both here and in the States - just feels like a tired retread of what others have done better recently.

Christina is not even releasing a new album just a Greatest Hits so more to expect from her NEW ALBUM next year. And i love her song so i hope she does well and comes on X Factor!

The amount of times the XF contestants have sung her songs, she should be on there to show them how it's really done

It went to No.2 on the US Itunes, without any serious airplay and virtually ZERO promo apart from that VMA performance. Her real promo for the song doesn't start until the end of October, so WATCH OUT!

Plus she is coming over to the UK next week, EXCITED

Can't see it tbh - its catchy but she doesn't have a fanbase other than those who watched SCD and the majority of those aren't singles buying people.

What do you mean 'the majority of those aren't singles buying people'!!

The age demographic stats for Stricky isn't much different to that of X Factor. And you don't need to have a fanbase to hit the top of the charts. The song sells itself in most cases look at Robyn.

I'm not sure what facts your going off but Alesha is going to be on a huge PR campaign for it's release so don't write her off. The song is too catchy not to see it as a threat.

It's already been the most requested new track on radio this week. So you can't say something like that when demand is there for it.

I'd say Alesha will chart higher than both Beyonce and Christina.

I dont understand how you cant hear any word of it tbh. There is parts which is hard to understand, but not all of it. Especially after listening to it more than once its pretty easy. Its a very fast song 120bpm.

Its catchy, FM is also most requested video and leona will have the xfactor performance so we will see.

All 3 can be found here:

Leona Lewis - Forgive Me
Beyonce - If I Were A Boy
Christina Aguilera - Keeps Gettin' Better

Which will do better?”

Underwhelmed by beyonces as a fiurst single although i quite like it, although sounds like it could do a TAB. And i thought that was crap.

I'm not saying Leona won't take the number 1 because she probably will.

Just that Alesha will chart higher than Beyonce and Christina. I'm pretty sure of it tbh.

Alesha's video has only just hit the video channels. It's too early to tell how popular it is on that front yet but as it's a good vid I expect it to do well.

I guess it's possible with her appearing on Strictly but I don't think Alesha's song is anything special. Gets annoying after a few listens for me personally, I preferred Lipstick and Knockdown a lot more.

Yeah but I don't really like Forgive Me either so who is to say everyone else will? I agree with the poster above who says it's hard to understand the words. I don't really think the track is her finest moment to be honest.

I hate how no one on here can have a negative opinion about anything Leona without people either making it into some big rivalry or taking it as an insult because their fave singer has isn't just popular with someone.

Just because there is a chart war that you fave artist is involved in doesn't mean you have to hate the rival songs. Some of you act like it's a must. You can like all of them.

That's a huge assumption on your part to say people dislike songs just because they're in a chart battle. I've already said I like Beyonce's song. Last year I loved Rule The World even though it was in a chart battle with Bleeding Love. I just dislike this Alesha song and I'm not going to lie and say I like it.

Have negative opinions all you want. But if you're gonna post them then expect replies which will disagree with you. That's what a discussion is about isn't it?

I'd assume he is just prioritising. Acts signed to Syco Music are always the most important and then acts that might boost the ratings (Mariah, Britney, Kylie, Take That etc). He doesn't really gain anything if Christina sells well. Not that RCA Bosses won't be asking him for a slot, of course.

I think there are still some slots available, so she might get on.

The demographics are significantly different. For the last show (on Sunday), X Factor had 2.4 million viewers aged 16-34. Strictly had just under 1 million. Even though they aren't a big percentage of the audience, it is still a decent number, similar to Coronation Street.

Leona's video for FM has been in the #1 slot on iTunes practically since it was released. It only fell behind when Oasis's promo for Shock Of The Lightning climbed above her for a period.
