What he's talking about is the 2G roaming when not within a 3g area.
Recently there have been some roaming issues as some customers roamed on to O2 and some on to Orange when 3G was not available. I believe the very final stages of moving customers over to the new system are virtually complete. However there will be a bit more fiddling as they work with Nokia Siemens and T-mobile on the much expanded 3g coverage, which aims to reach near blanket 3g coverage within the next 18 months or so. They have more bandwidth than any of the other networks for 3g, so within 18 months they look very promising. They will then reduce the need for 2g roaming. |

What happening is Three cancelled their contract with o2 (great) now they switched to Orange (Excellent) so they taking some time to move systems over, which is going good, as i live in the West Midlands and it mostly sorted a few tweaks and they should be done

![]() Anyway, T-Mobile and three's agreement doesn't extend to 2G so you will still need to roam onto Orange. |

What it will mean is however, that you will still be able to make calls when you don't have 3G Cover. |

It won't.
