The final version of Chinese Democracy (single) is not at all bad,just way different to the 87 - 93 GNR music.That's the problem,the masses will never take to 2008 GNR music;they want a new Paradise City or Sweet Child,but Axl has gone all industrial/alternative.The final versions of Better and Catcher should be classics.
If a fresh,up and coming,alternative rock band had done Chinese Democracy,it would be hailed as one of the best albums of the year.

If the single is anything to go by this is going to be superb.

Absolutely. Hating this new incarnation just because it's a new incarnation is ridiculous. If you don't like the music, fair enough, but at least give it a chance and judge it in a normative fashion.

On the subject of line-up changes, Megadeth, one of the most popular metal bands in the world, only have one original member remaining as well, yet nobody seems to get on Dave Mustaine's back about that.

The name GNR is worth more than the name Axl Rose in terms of publicity, the fact that he thinks he always owned GNR and in his mind the band is still GNR. So, it was/is smart of him, but he may loose some respect for not branching out completely.

The appetite album is one of the most recognisable rock albums ever created and only axl is gonna be in the current Gnr

If axl is never gonna make up with the former members the time will pass and we will never see them peform ever again together with i think really sucks

Nope, Dave Mustaine (lead guitarist and vocalist) is the ONLY remaining original member of Megadeth.

The difference between that fat twinky muncher Axl Rose and Dave Mustaine is Rose doesn't have even half the talent Mustaine has. And as far as bands go Dave IS Megadeth both being the founder and brains behind it's success. Rose is neither for HIS self appointed owned band. Rose was co-founder alongside Tracii Guns [L.A Guns]. The talent behind GNR is gone. Rose was the vocals for the talent that has sinse disappeared. His song writting had to be linked to the other members song writting to be really good. Dave Mustaine doesn't need anyone else HE IS GOD when compared to Axl Rose.

Axl is immensely talented, you only have to watch him live to see that.

Axl is far more talented than the crap thats around today.

Have to admit that Axl Rose is morphing rather disturbingly into Mick Hucknall so much that i half expect him to change the name of the band to Simply Guns N' Red Roses eek!

I'll save you the cash it's shite, I downloaded it last week, vocals are rough as, guitars are all a bit predictable and songs are weak, fourteen years and it's pish

I think we'll expect Axl Rose to reinvent himself as a Broadway/West End singer and sing songs from the shows, starting with his concept album based on the movie Grease called "AXL GREASE" and the front cover depicting Axl wearing a boiler suit and fixing a carburator.

The finished album hasn't leaked yet. What you heard was unfinished, unmastered demo tracks, many of which have been floating around the web for several years now.

There's three songs on the CD that no-one has heard yet, them being 'Sorry', 'This I Love' (which will have contributions from Slash and Duff as it was written in 1994) and 'Scraped'.

Right, will stick to my Appetite For Destruction which arrived today.

Please pay no attention to hamstir. He hasn't heard the final album - nobody outside of the band and the record company has.

Where have you been for the past four or five years? the planet zippy?. More than just those clowns have heard the new album. Put it this way: think of the weakest GNR songs you can and they will be classics when compared to what Rose has instore for you lot when the shit hits the fan... err... sorry... I mean when the shit hits the shelves. Easily the second weakest album of the year... next to Death Magnetic. Just because millions of fans worldwide believe it will be good, doesn't mean it will be. If millions people believe a lie, it is still a lie.

From the tracks I have heard the album shouldn't be a let down, people are justing saying its weak due to the wait.

GNR can't win either ways as some people are saying the new stuff is nothing like the old material and then others are saying its not new enough and sounds like their old material.

With such a wait and such publicity there will always be haters and people saying its no good.

Death Magnetic is easily the best Metallica album that has been released since And Justice for All, it is a brilliant album.

Whether the GNR will be as good as Appetite For Destruction, I don't know, after listening to the like of Better, Chinese Democracy and There Was A Time it sounds good.

A lot of the songs that have been on the net are not the finished version, this is proven after hearing Chinese Democracy on the radio, it sounds a lot more polished than the net leak earlier in the year
