It will happen. If he gets bad comments, he will worry that he may go and turn on the waterworks hoping it will get him the sympathy vote. If he gets good comments, he will still cry. I personally don't mind emotional contestants but with Austin, it just seems so fake

It is fake, IMO. He is very annoying, I am sure he is a nice guy, but he just irattes me, and I don't find that good of a singer.

Don't know about him crying after his comments, but I would put money on him crying in his VT.

Infact I bet the majority of them will do.

Perhaps X Factor should be sponsored by Kleenex

Of course it's fake. You can see from his past profile he has been in a few bands and is full of pleanty of confidence (check out his MySpace for that part). The fact that he continues to act like an insecure shy child is frankly just annoying. I can see it all backfiring on him though so I say keep it up!

Yep. He'll cry every week at the judges' comments, good or bad!

Austin will cry during the VT, during the judges comments, after the judges comments and during the results show when/ if his name is read out

Totally agree with your post.

He is so annoying, so desperate for fame that there is something kind of sad about it. I do think he can sing but he's just like any other boyband member, I don't think he has any uniqueness whatsoever. If he does win (which I doubt he will) I doubt he will have a long career.

I don't mind a bit of emotion but with Austin it comes across as scripted. But then I'm not a fan, I find him average at best.

I've had enough of his tears and playing up to the insecurity and poor me act. He is a bloody man, not a little child.

I will throw something at my telly if he (or any of the other contestants) start crying tomorrow.

I think people will get sick of it. His image has changed in a bad way so he probably won't be getting the female vote, so his is purely on talent and personality I'd imagine.

Is this the same Austin that I took an instant dislike to for being the first contestant to be shown on TV saying "I really want this soooooo bad"? In the very first show, I think?

At that point I think I switched off, and haven't watched the show since. So the simpering little sap got through, did he? Well, there's a suprise!

No, I say judge hin on the whole package. Since when has singing ability been the most important part of success? Lack of it never did Leon any harm

He also came up with this classic: "Please don't take my dream away from me"

Its all in the editing Nearly every contender cries at some stage, and this year Austin seems to be earmarked by producers as "the one to show crying" Everyone seems to have forgotten how Leon cried incessantly during bootcamp, the judges houses, and still had the wobbly lip during most of the live shows....yet he still went on to win I don't give a toss for the sob stories and all the emotional hype. I'm only interested in the quality of the voice, and to my ears, regardless of how he comes across personality wise, character wise, looks wise, previous history wise, gay or not gay, or whatever .....he has a great voice and and interprets songs in a very individual way, and deserves recognition for that.
