Austin favourtism in the media

I am getting a bit bored of it. Its obvious who Cowell wants to win

Everyday its another Austin story. Yesterday and today its about how he was bullied for being a geek.

He is not a patch on any of the girls. I really like Diana and Ruth but we hear nothing about them in the papers.

Austin would be another Leon. Nice enough and an ok voice. But dull.

I agree with you, the girls are miles better then him, and they actually have a personality as well.

It's always obvious who Cowell wants to win, but they don't always win, I'm happy to say.

Austin has the second best vocal in the competition after Alexandra and is the best boy in the comp so I understand why he is getting all this media coverage. I hope that when the live shows start Austin's voice (as in singing a song all the way though) is going to gain more supporters and not haters who focus on the tears etc.

Yes I agree, I'm not keen on Austin's voice to be honest hes too screechy for my liking (in the same way as Lee Ryan who I despise lol). I'd like one of the girls or girl groups to win although my fav is Diana however although I think she is wonderful I don't think she is going to be everyones cup of tea.

I think Cowell has a handful of acceptable winners at this stage. Austin may be one of them, but not the preferred option at all. I think he would kill for a group to win. He's been saying it for years. However, I expect he also realises how unlikely it is that either JLS or BadLashes will win. And so he gave Cheryl the 14-24 girls, knowing that it contains the rest of his favourites and expecting one of them to win.

The guy is an absolute media whore, you can see that just from his past profile. I personally can't stand him.

And Alexandera too from what I've seen.

Thankfully seen some positive stuff about Diana too so they may have her to stay for a while. Hopefully they don't give her Girls Aloud songs to sing. Please don't give her Girls Aloud songs to sing.

It was very close until they gave Leon the massive shopping center gig in Scotland? That changed it around and also the Kylie rumours that were leaked to the papers were in his favour.”

Beer....how do you 'know' such things?

As for Kylie...well, who on earth else would she duet with? She would have looked like Tinkerbell next to Rhydian...and SD....they'd have been like the kids from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Kylie was quoted to have said weeks before the final that she would like to have duetted with Leon.

Can you please explain why, if Rhydian was to be dumped, did Simon praise him week after week?

I think you are trying to manipulate people's view of what actually went on. The reality is that people actually like Leon...this isn't Stepford wives where people are programmed by the media. Influenced, perhaps....not programmed, which according to you, people would have had to have been to vote for someone who sounded as bad as you make Leon out to be.

He won't win anyway, people will get sick of his whinging and there are far better singers than him in the competition, but admittedly he is the best in his category, but then again thats not exactly hard. The boys (including Daniel) are the weak links in what is the strongest final 12 for years.

I'm starting to have some sympathy with Austin with all this stuff. Whatever anyone says, that boy can sing.

I know he can sing. But I just cannot take to him at all.

Didn't stop Rhydian last year. Look at how he was treated...until the live shows.

I think the same may happen to Austin.

I don't even think Austin is a good singer though. He's very average compared to the male contestants over the previous years. Plus the whole shouty singing thing he does puts me off him. He also needs to express himself better as he looks like he's in pain when he sings.
