So who do you think will get the dreaded first on stage spot?
I think by the song choice Danni could be putting Rachel up first..As she knows Rachel will be safe and has to concentrate on Daniel + Ruth getting through.

Also apparently 'Girl Band' have a complex dance routine maybe its them.

I predict the order will be.

1- Girl Band
2- Rachel
3- Scott
4- Alex
5- JLS
6- Daniel
7- Eoghan
8- Diana
9- Bad Lashes
10- Ruth
11- Austin
12- Laura.

If Girlband go first, they're gone. They're the bookies favourites to go and at the beginning there will be less viewers.

I would think one of the girl bands will be up first.

That might not apply tomorrow night. The show has a peak timeslot, lead-in from the England match and only Merlin to contend with.

Whoever sings first will be doing something uptempo and whoever sings last will have been the really good in rehearsals and can bring the house down but also someone that the public will wait until the end to see.

In future weeks, the best acts will be split across 2 slots, the other being the 5 minutes after SCD finishes (Rhydian and Same Difference were regulars in those slots last year).

Without knowing song choices, it is hard to judge (and I have included some of my own suggestions). But I would go with:

Scott (inevitably singing something cabaret)
Rachel (a good act to keep viewers around)

Diana (probably doing something slower)
JLS (ideally doing "Ghetto Gospel" by Elton John/Tupac)

I have a really bad feeling Diana will be up first... and based on the track record of the show openers, I'm worried.

One of the girlbands

It won't be Diana. They tend to have a judges order, and I think Cheryl will be last tomorrow night. Although I do expect that Diana will be the first on out of Cheryl's 3 (which makes her 4th).

Addictiv Ladies went in S2 because they were terrible. Shayne was on after them and it never did him any harm. And on BGT, typically the second best acts of the night were given the second or third slots.

Last year Kimberley was at a disadvantage because of other events outwith the control of ITV/producers. Although she was dreadful as well, of course.

If you go first and are any good, you'll make it through.

Whoever is on first in the first live show tends to be in the bottom 2 at least... except possibly in Series 3 when it was Dionne vs Unconventionals - neither went first

The first on first out thing was just a load of crap span by Kimberley to justify her being kicked out. Robert was first during series 3 and that never did him any harm for the first week.

Roberta leaving first in the first series still confuses me to this day. She was the first on and was far better than the likes of Verity, VWS, 2 To Go and even Steve. Her performance was easy on the ear and one of the better ones on the first show.

Also, if you take a look at who has stayed and who has gone based on performance order, 3 out of the 4 opening acts have been sent packing - and only Addictiv Ladies deserved to IMO.

Anyway, here's hoping Diana isn't first on tomorrow, eh?

Plus I think on series 1 and 2 that the bottom 2 ALWAYS consisted of two of the first 4 acts that performed

It's obviously not a hard and fast rule, but I believe there's some truth in early acts being at a disadvantage, but also in Kimberley's case, the show started earlier than it was meant to. I missed her.

Being last is a clear advantage and imo should not be reserved for "showstoppers". This is a production bias. There's no need to stop the show, it will end automatically.

The show has a later start this year and no clash with SCD however with twelve acts set to sing some will get lost in the shuffle which could be bad news to whoever performs early and if they dont give a fantastic performance.

I don't think Diana will be first. It'll go in a judges order, and I'd say Cheryl will go last out of the 4, which means Diana will be 4th at the least.
