Austin Drage Disclaimer

Due to my old account on Digital Spy being compromised by a person known to myself and my company, David Gregory Associates Ltd, certain malicious posts concerning my previous history with X Factor contestant, Austin Drage, were published on several threads recently in an attempt to cause damage to my relationship with Austin and his family, and to my name and company's reputation as well.

Whilst some the information contained within these posts is indeed accurate (i.e. I was Austin's Singing Teacher at Ridgeway Studios between 1999 and 2001, we then got back in touch again in 2006 after the filming of E4's Boys Will Be Girls series), a lot of it is not (i.e. I was not in touch with Austin whilst he was part of the 5Boyz line-up, so any information posted under my name in reference to that is completely false, along with the Cheryl Cole incident as well).

Furthermore, I do not, nor have I ever harboured any feelings of resentment or ill-will towards Austin, in fact, I am absolutely delighted that he has managed to get through to the live rounds of the X Factor, and I will be watching his progress with interest.

Finally, I have been in touch with Austin's family today regarding the matter, and they are satisfied with my explanation, and with the action I will be taking towards the person concerned in order to prevent any further instances of this from ever occurring again.

No further dialogue will be entered into after this.

This is interesting as this was the poster who was claiming Austin is straight and engaged - obviously this information is now null and void.

All the evidence points to him being gay so I think any accusations of him pretending to be gay for fame should be dropped for at least the time being. I guess he'll probably keep it under wraps for the duration of the competition.
