Didn't Mark R dance Salsa in the final and score 40 rather than Samba?

I think the Samba was his judges' choice routine, which did score 36.

Many thanks - always love stats.

Any chance of a little catch-up, do you have the stats for the waltz/cha cha. (normally Week One)

Tess being Tess.

Bet she's trying to molest or sexually harass one of the male contestants on Saturday again. I believe having her leering eyes and frisky hands on Mark and Austin, Tom will be the next victim!

Thanks for the stats QM!

Yup, that's for sure, and Matt Dawson scored exactly the same with his QS (they did those two dances to the same music, and received exactly the same score).

Spot on SCDO. The song was "Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher and Higher".

Thank you QuizMike, really interesting and I'm sure your predictions will be correct.

Is when in the series they are danced a factor at all? Were the men given the samba earlier in the series and the women later in previous years, or have the men and women always been this jumbed up - I can't really remember now.

Just for you jtnorth...

The samba was danced as follows...

Series 1 - Week 5 - All dancers
Series 2 - Week 5 - All dancers
Series 3 - Week 5 was either Samba or VW for all dancers
Series 4 - Week 6 was either Samba or Smooth for all dancers
Series 5 - Week 4 was either Samba or Smooth for all dancers

So there hasn't ever been a gender split on the samba and the earliest it was danced was week 4.

QM your initial post states that Gaby was in series 3, but she was actually in series 5.

Love it, but everyone always forgets that Natasha's rumba got 36! I nearly jumped down Tess's throat when she said how Cherie's was the highest score ever for a Rumba last week!

It does interest me though, keep going.

You're right Vikki. Rubbish aren't I???
OK, we'll start again. Have found a new very reliable source of material (the excellent ultimatestrictly). I've recallibrated everything over the weekend and we should be literally spot on from now on.

Interesting bit of VW trivia...

Last year Matt Di Angelo danced the VW in week 6 and scored 29 putting him 5th out of nine. He ended up in the dance off.

Alesha Dixon danced the VW in week 10 and scored 38 putting her 2nd out of four. She also ended up in the dance off.

Will we see a favourite dancing the VW in the dance off this year???
