Very unlikely to be one of the favourites in the dance off, but I can see two VW's.
Andrew v Heather, hopefully with Andrew getting the chop.

In all five previous series the highest score in week 6 was 36. So that streak is broken with this weeks high of 34.

I'm not surprised really. Particularly with the Paso - they weren't great overall.

How can it be possible for Dawson and Di Angelo to score 34 when they've scored 36 and 35 respectively?

Their listed "highest" scores are from the final of their respective series. I presume they achieved the former scores when they danced in the earlier rounds.

Because they both performed a quickstep in the final as well as earlier rounds. Matt Dawson in the judges choice. Both scored higher in the final than their earlier efforts

Comment : The lowest ever Cha Cha for females (Patsy Palmer 24) is 24th out of 40 dances. Therefore the bottom 16 scores are all male. Basically blokes can't Cha Cha

Comment Part 2...The Cha-Cha is traditionally a first week dance for the men. Hence Darren Gough and Matt Dawson both scored the same score for the Cha-Cha (19) as Chris Parker and Julian Clary and less than Dennis Taylor and Kenny Logan

I got a bit confused by your Salsa stats. Found myself thinking "Who the hell is Dean Dawson?"

Incidentally, I think your "Blokes can't Cha Cha" is slightly harsh (you were probably being a bit tongue in cheek but still). As you stated, it's traditionally a first week dance. The blokes generally start at a lower level and improve as the weeks go by. We never get a chance to see decent Cha Chas from them. I'd have been interested to see whether Matt or Gethin could have made a better job of theirs later in the series. It will also be interesting to see how Austin does.

By the way - check your Cha Cha stats on Colin. I thought he scored 32 in series 3 week 1 rather than 33 in series 2 week 6. Sorry to be a pedant. I just am. Can't be helped.

Cha-cha is only a week 1 dance for half the males - so technically, the other half should be able to put in better performances later on in the series.

The most telling thing about that is that it shows the Waltz-ers in week one invariably don't get far enough to do the Cha-cha later on.

I have noticed that. I think this indicates that the producers give the waltz to those celebs that they presume will be less able to handle the Cha Cha to give them a better chance of surviving week one. This series seems to be an exception though. Mainly because most of the male celebs were a bit rubbish whatever they danced.

6 years of history recorded as it was made, and audited by sharp-eyed fans. SCD4 below, showing Emma danced her meritorious rumba in Week 10, extending her limbs to picturesque effect. Fans who are paid nothing, evidently know their homework better than Tess paid £250K.
