Hi all,

Got a Moto Maxx V6 with a battery about 4/5 months old.

Ive noticed that the battery meter seems to drop from "2 out of 3 bars" straight to "0 bars" randomly.

For example I can be texting with 2/3 battery life and then when I send the text it jumps to 0/3 and starts beeping and saying "Low Battery".

If I turn it off and on again it comes back with 2/3 battery and I can use it for a while longer before it jumps down to 0/3.

I wonder if there is a problem with the battery meters reading? Its only started doing this over the last few days.

I wonder, do mobile phone batteries have the "memory effect" like laptops do where you should discharge them completely and then charge them up to "refresh" the battery meter?

you may as well try draining completely and recharging for the moment although it seems like a faulty battery, you should try another battery to check and claim warranty.
