Is Brian Friedman back this year?
Just wondering this because at times last year it seemed as if the dancing was more important than the singing. I think it would be better without him.

I'm hoping he isn't. It got to a stage last year where he seemed to think he was on strictly "If she can't do a triple back flip on one leg whilst throwing her arms to the side and singing in tune..............it could be a disaster".

He was on GMTV yesterday with Sinnita talking about the live show so I'm guessing he is.
He also said next week he would be enjoying Leon because that's when he's coming out. I don't think he meant it in quite the way it sounded ![]() I can't stand him, he ruined so many acts last year by making them move! |

Why is he back? I thought they had major disagreements to the point that he stopped being a judge, but as he had signed contracts, they HAD TO give him the made up job of choreographer?
So I imagined that at the end of his contract last year, he would get as far away from the show as possible. Plus his moves where really crap and amateurish. |

He was contracted for two years alongside Dannii I think; so it was probably easier to keep him on in perhaps a more reduced role than pay him off?

I saw an interview with him in a magazine (don't ask me which one have been poorly past few weeks so have read a LOT of them!
) and he was talking about the dancing and how he is having problems with some of them already and how he is also working on a show in the US so he is having to fly back and forth - oh the poor thing what a hard job he has! |

He is. Although it's reported in the sun that he underwent interviews last night regarding his VISA.

I think Leon and Rhydian fans would gleefully join forces and tie Brian up back stage, so he can't do what he did to those lads last year.
Can't stand that man. I wish him and Louis would go away and set up a laundrette or something together. They spoil the show, IMO. |

He ruined the last series. I am not saying he is not a good choreographer, I saw the routine he did for Dancing with the Stars in the US and it was excellent. But the X Factor is a singing talent show first and foremost. Acts should not be made to dance.

I entirely agree, it just gave the judges more bait to use against acts they didn't want in the final - how many times did we hear 'awful choreography' or something, which was held against the act and not the idiot who put the crap there? Idiocy, pure and simple.

Was it Brian who was responsible for Rhydian and Leon either chucking roses into the audience or having roses chucked at them? Completley dreadful.
Brian has just been seen entering the XF studios. So.....he's deffo there!

Noooooo!
He was a huge reason why last year was so crap. The first live show in particular had so many car-crash performances, and they were because of his choreography!
