Nasty, uncalled for comments about Daniel.
In my opinion he gave a lovely performance, I truly enjoyed it, he has a nice voice, and the pleasure on his face was obvious.
They almost ripped him apart on there and it wasn't nice too watch. and in my opinion if he was not good enough then he should not have been put this far ahead in the show just to have comments like that, he has been through enough already. ![]() He is on about improving, doing something extra next time, and I just don't think anything will be enough sadly. |

I felt sorry for him.
He seemed to really enjoy being on stage. It was the first show. They could have been a bit easier on him. |

David Brent and his dead wife were terrible but they'll probably be saved as it's Scott's week to go.

I thought he was really out of tune with a weak voice, nothing against the guy that's an objective opinion.

He's always had a pleasant voice, but not world class, but is obviosuly a genuine great guy. Why build up his hopes and put him through this far too give comments so negitive in the first week is just beyond me to say the very least.
I felt very sorry for him standing there. |

Yes he seems nice. But lets get thing into perspective. He was dreadful. I think Dannii made a huge mistake putting him in over that Welsh bloke.

The former pro golfer? If so I thought that was a huge mistake too. To be honest, if Daniel didn't have his story behind him, I don't think he would have made it past boot camp and definitely not into the final 12.

Daniel was absolutely horrific tonight, he sounded like my uncles drunken attempt at kareoke on new years eve.

He was loads better than I thought he was going to be, actually, I was impressed. His voice is stronger than I first thought.

Yeah, Daniel seems like a really lovely guy.
But his singing voice is just average! And sadly, if it wasn't for his story, I don't think he'd have made the final 12. |

Hardly ripped into him. Simon and Cheryl both made a point of saying what a terrific guy he is, but what they said was valid. He is irrelevant and he will never be a successful recording artist.
And there is something questionable about his willingness to persistently exploit his late wife to further himself in the competition. |

One of the most average contestants I've ever seen. In addition to this, he's completely cringeworthy. The newfound diamond earring is laughable.
Almost making a joke out of the competition by not appearing in the bottom 2. |

He shouldn't be on the live shows but that isn't his fault they picked him.
He is a nice person, but being a nice person won't make people buy his records. What would he sing? A middle of the road album of cover versions? No point. Would any of you here actually buy his album or single? Be honest. |

Who cares if somebody is lovely or not. Amy winehouse is the biggest asshole in the world and still sells millions of records.

What is it about the surname "Evans" and deceased relatives on the X Factor? He's not Niki's dad is he?

You've got to consider, how can somebody who is in tune for 5 auditions with these guys - suddenly sound out of tune or suddenly sound different? Both Scott and Daniel got a bad sound set up. You could barely hear them throughout while Austin's was the worst of the night in my opinion but he got praise. If you check the thread for tonight's live show, you'll see hardly anybody liked Austin's - but then the judges all say he is great? It's all set up. |

I thought the judges were fair in their comments. They didn't rip into him or anything.
He might be a nice person, hell I don't know the guy, but let's face it, can anyone actually see him lasting any longer than Steve Brookstein if he wins the competition (which he doesn't have a chance of doing) He didn't have the voice to carry off the song and it's all a bit dated. IMHO he's there for two reasons - his sob story and his gender. Kareoke, Kareoke, Kareoke. |

Could hardly hear a word of what he sang. He was the weakest singer tonight - well almost the weakest.
I think the comments - for once- were spot on. |
