Why no live band?
Anyone else think it would be better with a live band like they have on American Idol? The backing tracks sound tacky and old fashioned. Its harder to sing with a band and we would get a good idea of who really are the best singer.

I agree. It sounds too Karaoke. They ruined eurovision by taking away the orchestra for backing tracks

YES! The tacky backing track always annoys me; surely they have enough money to hire a band ffs!
it will be so much better with a live band!

Personally I prefer it without a live band because it sounds more like a studio recording then.
