Holly from Xtra Factor is a better presenter than Dermot
Does anyone else agree?

She suits Xtra Factor as it's more informal. She's quite dull on Dancing On Ice when she is the main presenter alongside Phil Schofield.

Agreed Dermot doesn't really bring anything to the party.

I think Holly is a far better presenter and has more likability than Fern on Xtra Factor.
Dermot would have been better suited to Xtra than the main show, as he is fun and like to have a laugh. The presentrs also have more exposure on the support show. |

I think it would have lookd better if both hosts swapped their roles. Maybe have a daily Xtra Factor show hosted by Dermot as well in his BBLB style show. Holly could have a co-host (maybe Phillip Schofield or Chris Moyles) too.

I used to love the nightly shows during the week when Pop Idol was on. We would see the final few having vocal coaching etc (that was Pop Idol Extra with Kate Thornton) I know it was a different show but it meant that we really got to know the contestants and it personalised it a lot more. Carrie and David Grant used to do the vocal coaching.

I think Xtra Factor is good with Holly presenting, she can be herself and have fun but on DOI, she is totally different.

I disagree. He brings enough personality but he's not over the top as he has to be professional on a primetime show.

No way - Holly is so hyperactive she makes it hard for me to watch - I much prefer Dermot's laid back style. But to be fair, she has not yet reached the horror that was Cat Deeley on American Idol
