She can be brilliant, she has alot of potential, she does shout a bit sometimes but I thought she was one of the best last night. & I like her alot.

Laura is over rated and her voice is too screeching. I can't stand her. Hannah should be there instead of her!

I don't agree with you. Hannah should have definitely have gone through but Laura deserves to be there.

I can't stand Laura's warbling, years ago when the likes of Cleo Laine did all that shoo bee doobey doooo stuff it was okay, but coming out of Laura's mouth it all seems so contrived and false. I can't believe the judges have fallen for it?

and I agree with you, Hannah should be there, it is a tragedy she isn't but I love Laura and she deserves to be there.

Laura's basically a working men's club singer. Loud, incapable of subtlety, already running to seed. They're ten a penny in many a northern town. She's like the younger sister of "dead-dad" Nicki from last year - without the entertaining if slightly sick back-story to play on.

Sorry, but that was really funny, I was racking my brain to think of who she was, but can just about see her face now

Didn't I read somewhere that Laura had already been offered a record contract before? I doubt she's as innocent and naive as she makes out.

I agree. She was the 5th weakest of the 6 in the girl group, just in front of dead mum/ dermot hates me/ sinister eyes girl. When she started last night it was like someone standing on a squeeky toy. The fact is that the show is being biased towards her. I have no idea why. She shouted in her audition, she done some jelly legs thing at bootcamp and she was nothing special at the judges houses. What has she got on simon i wonder?

I thought her performance was one of the best on Saturday night. It looks to me that she is quite a down to earth sort of person. The audience was very much on her side.

Shes not really. Her mentor has already said publicly that she has a niche voice. Her dress was terrible last night. she stomped over the stage like a bull. and you could almost read the autocue in her eyes when she launched into her "daddeh" speech. Bet her mum was so happy with that.

Best vocalist my foot , best vocal ive heard in 25 years was Geraldines , her harmonisation was better than Sonia , it was truly world class.

This made me smile. Cheryl....couldn't touch Laura's vocals. I like Cheryl...but I can't take her seriously as a 'judge'.

I don't know if I like her voice. When she sang that Winehouse song she sounded like Amy Winehouse at glasto....

I don't think she's using her voice properly...

She has the potential to do incredibly well but she just needs to step away from the Amy impressions.

She sounds to me like a drunk Amy Winehouse impersonator.

All this 'impersonator' accusation stuff is probably a good sign...Leona got it with Mariah and Leon got it with Bublé.

However, I see less of this with Laura than others seem to see. There's a different voice quality there and Laura, well....she's a lot more easy on the eye, IMO...than AW.

What has 'Bo Selecta' got to do with anything?

When Laura sings it sounds like at least three people singing in one person. One minute she sounds soft and husky, the next deep and velvety, and the next a strange, screechy mix of both. I think if she could stick to one style she could be fantastic (providing it was the right one) but at the moment I just don't think she has any vocal direction and I can't believe that none of the judges have noticed.

There's sounding like someone and impersonating someone. Two different things.
