Hi, last night I bought 2 X FACTOR LIVE TICKETS SECC GLASGOW - GENUINE FRONT ROW A, from ebay, on a Buy It Now option only. Priced £179.00, after I looked at other websites and queried the priced I send an E-mail to the seller he said to me on an E-mail “That would have been the price if you had bought them from a primary source such as ticketmaster, ebay is a secondary source which allows people to sell things for whichever price people are willing to pay (market value) the going rate for this type of ticket is about £200 hence the £180 pricetag.

Is this true or have i been done?

You can obviously charge whatever you want when you're selling on Ebay as it's up to the buyer if they want to pay your price.
I don't know if there was a pre sale but the tickets don't actually go on sale till tomorrow.

Check the sellers feedback to see if they've sold numerous tickets with decent feedback. If not it could be dodgy.
I still think you've been ripped off at £80 a ticket but you were happy enough to bid for them so you can't complain!

Are you sure this seller can be trusted and these tickets are legit?

Do you have a link to the listing?

Hope you haven't been done, and the guy does have pretty good feedback, only concern is that clearly he doesn't currently have the tickets in hand, as if you read this.

"Thanks for looking, payment is to be made immediately via paypal, tickets will be sent by royal mail special delivery when received from promoters which is expected to be soon!"

He can't guarantee he will receive the tickets, he will be buying them for a cheaper price and then selling them via ebay at a profit.

Is there no way to buy x-factor tickets direct or from ticketmaster?

Just another thing, the listing says the face value of the tickets are £30

As Bootcamp Barry says the seller seems genuine so if you're unhappy it's your fault for not checking the face value of the tickets before bidding and also checking if you could buy them cheaper from a legitimate source.
I'm sure there will be decent tickets available at cost at 9am tomorrow if you hit the refresh button fast enough!

I must be odd but I wouldn't pay that amount of money to watch the chance of another miserable, tuneless effort most of the contestants put on last night, then use "nerves" as being the continuing excuse because they were doing the tour! That ebay guy must be laughing his head off. Think I will try and sell some next year. Sheesh!

Simple this one.

You paid big money for front row seats. The price of £90 a ticket is pretty normal for them to be honest.

The SECC tickets have been on sale for about 6 weeks and that seller would have been up with the lark and bought them at first opening, hoping to make a profit on them as he has done. He is a ticket tout, pure and simple,

If you go to ticketmasters website now you can get tickets in row 20 off to the side for normal price. You decide whether front row tickets are worth what you paid. If not, just get those row 20 off to the side tickets instead.
